‘Badass Ravikumar’ box office collection day 2: Himesh Reshammiya starrer outshines ‘Loveyapa’ despite a dip in the business

On Valentine's 2025, while Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor tried to stir romance with their breezy rom-com ‘Loveyapa,’ singer-music composer turned actor Himesh Reshammiya added some masala with his musical parody action ‘Badass Ravikumar.’ It is a spin-off of the 2014 film ‘The Xpose,’ which beat, Loveyapa's first-day haul and continues to outperform it on the second day.

‘Badass Ravikumar’ opened to mixed reactions, yet collected ₹2.75 crore at the box office on day 1. According to the early estimates on Sacnilk following the opening day, there was a minor drop in the business on Saturday, as the movie made ₹2 crore on day 2. The total collection after a two-day run of the movie stands at ₹4.75 crore. Coming to occupancy, the rate was 6.74% for morning shows, 12.01% for afternoon, 0% for evening, and 20.38% for night.
As aforementioned, the ‘Badass Ravikummar’ outshined ‘Loveyapa,’ as the opening day collection of the romantic comedy was only ₹1.15 crore and day 2’s early estimates show a business of ₹ 1.50 crore. This remake of the Tamil film, ‘Love Today,’ has seen a rise in the business, but it still is behind in the race.
Interestingly, while 'Loveyapa' was under the radar for explosive and aggressive PR, Himesh wasn't seen promoting his film 'Badass Ravikummar' anywhere. Despite the same, the movie had a decent opening at the box office.

As both the movies come from different genres, it would be interesting to see what by the end of their debut weekend, what the scoreboard tells.
Directed by Keith Gomes, it is a musical parody action film, In addition to Himesh Reshammiya playing the lead, the film also stars Johnny Lever, Prabhu Deva, Saurabh Sachdeva, Kirti Kulhari, Simona J and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles.
