And who doesn’t love the applause and attention of a house full of admirers?
Bombay Times Lounge is a show that’s breezy, deep, insightful, glam and glossy – all at once. Sometimes served with a dash of bare truths and bitters – shaken and stirred. But always high on spirit!

‘I’ve been a reader of Bombay Times all my life’Among many heartfelt moments on the show, one that stood out was when
Vicky got nostalgic seeing print copies of the Bombay Times that featured him. “I’ve been a reader of Bombay Times all my life, as the paper would come to my home every morning,” the actor said. Talking about the emotion of seeing his stories in print during the initial phase of his career, he shares, “There is a magic in print media.
Jab shuru shuru mein apna naam paper
mein aa jata hai, usse jo khushi milti hai, it’s something else. And when that name reaches the headline and a photo is attached to it, and it further becomes a full-page story,
uski feeling
hi alag hai, it’s irreplaceable. I still remember, and it’s the first time I am saying this, in the beginning when my name would appear in the paper, I would keep the cutouts in a book. So, it’s special, you can’t take those special moments away. Thank you for making me a part of your first episode of the
Bombay Times Lounge. Bombay Times and The Times of India have been a very special part of all our lives. And I can say it on behalf of the whole nation.”
‘When I see college students, I remember the time when I was in college, and I had big dreams’Addressing the young crowd who had gathered to watch him in conversation with us, Vicky said, “When I see them, I remember the time when I was in college and I had big dreams, huge dreams.
Hum sab darte hai na, apne aap se bhi kehne mein ki yeh kaise ho payega, yeh thodi nah ho payega. And at the time when I had started out, the face of Bollywood was different and the kind of opportunities we would get were different. I always wanted to be an actor, but I never really knew how it was going to happen. One thing led to the other, and the kind of work and love I started getting gave me the confidence that I can aim for the stars.”
For more such precious anecdotes, laughs and moments, and a closer look at the actor, the star Vicky Kaushal, watch out for the first episode that will drop soon on the Bombay Times YouTube channel. And many more stars are set to light up the Bombay Times Lounge soon.
