Riding high on the success of 'Pushpa 2',
Allu Arjun attended a recent celebration where he subtly acknowledged the makers of 'Chhaava' for moving their release date. While addressing the crowd, Allu thanked an unnamed Bollywood filmmaker for avoiding a box office clash with 'Pushpa 2'.
In a viral video from the success meet, Allu is seen expressing his gratitude to the makers of 'Chhaava' for changing their release date. Originally scheduled for December 6, the film was postponed. The actor mentioned that he personally called up the filmmaker from Hindi cinema to thank. He noted that they were very accommodating and said, "We’re all fans of Pushpa," adding that they would make way for his film. He also extended his thanks to all sectors of Indian cinema for their support.
Sacnilk reports that 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' dominated the box office, raking in a remarkable ₹1,232.30 crore net in India. Within the country, the film grossed ₹1,467.8 crore, and globally, it pulled in a massive ₹1,738.45 crore.
Unfortunately, 'Pushpa 2's promotional campaign was marred by tragedy. On December 4th, the day before the film's release, a premiere event at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad turned deadly when an accident resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, leaving her child critically injured.
