Homegrown talents Dualist Inquiry, Sandunes, Sound Avtar and Kris Correya will take the stage.
In an exclusive e-mail interview to Times of India,
The Bloody Beetroots wrote, “This will actually be our first time in India. We’re a little lost when it comes to the Indian music scene – but we are all about learning fast, and can't wait to meet the local acts.”
The Bloody Beetroots and its mastermind Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo are regulars in the dance music scene abroad. Rifo is the former Italian garage punk prodigy with
‘1977’ on his chest and a mask on his face. There’s the festival-highlight live, the tastefully hyperbolic tracks with their redlining builds and floor-rinsing drops, championed by the likes of Etienne De Crécy, Alex Gopher and Steve Aoki, which culminated in 2009’s Romborama. Their latest album HIDE features collaborations with
Paul McCartney, Penny Rimbaud of Crass, Tommy Lee,
Peter Frampton, Chromeo’s P-Thugg, electronic producers TAI and Bart B More as well as very different soul sensations Sam Sparro and Theophilus London. Says Rifo, “My music never stopped evolving, and it never will – evolution is the key.”
