BIGBANG’s G-Dragon announced his world tour ‘Übermensch’ on Thursday, February 6, 2025, on his official Instagram account. Following the announcement of his third solo album ‘Übermensch’, he has set the dates for the concert at various venues, however, the official days have been kept under wraps.
“𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑【Übermensch】More details on the tour will be released at a later date. We look forward to your love and support. THANK YOÜ,” he captioned the announcement. The album will be released on February 25, 2025, The K-pop star has captivated the audience with this amazing surprise, as this tour will be the first-ever grand celebration of his music after October 2017, when he last performed. Additionally, ‘Home Sweet Home’, the collaborative track with his bandmates Taeyang and Daesung is hoped to be part of the album, with ‘Power’ the single track that he released in October 2024.
The audience is enthusiastically awaiting the release as the last time he dropped any material was more than a decade ago, in 2013, which was his second solo album ‘Coup d’Etat’. While many of the fans are gushing over the announcement under the post and congratulating him about the same, other fans are disappointed with his choice of name and font for ‘Übermensch’.
One of the users wrote, “This is insane. Calling it übermensch is one thing I guess but the font? It’s so close to the nazi font it’s making me uncomfortable.” Another user commented, “it's like taking something World War 2 Japanese related and wanting to tour trough Korea. I know he isn't pushing nazi propaganda so im not bothered by it but jesus, do some research.” Talking about the global appeal, another user wrote, “ubermensch is probably not the best name for international appeal, but go G-Dragon.”
