Composing music is very similar to filmmaking, says Mayur Ambekallu

Shakhahaari music director Mayur Ambekallu has joined the long list of composers who have turned filmmakers. Mayur is wearing the director’s hat for Bhaava Teera Yaana, an emotional love story, set to address changing emotional values among the younger generations. “There is direction in music direction, isn’t it? (laughs). When we compose music, we have our own vision and create a world of our own. As composers, we have to sit in the director’s chair to get the essence of the film. We have to get inside the director’s vision to deliver what is expected out of us, which is challenging. Composing music for a film allows you to get involved in the story deeply. And, we also get to explore a lot of new things there. And this makes the whole concept of direction or filmmaking feel familiar and gives us a push to pursue it. I am doing exactly that,” Mayur shares.
