A worldwide phenomenon, Diljit Dosanjh, the artist who always tops the international charts, recently performed his Grand Finale of the ‘DIL-LUMINATI’ tour of 2024 in his hometown, Ludhiana.
With accolades on his arrival, he thanked the city for making his ultimate wish come true to perform in his city. He marked the year-end in his concert, which was at the Punjab Agriculture University. While articulating his gratitude in the show, the singer mentioned the taunts he received on saying ‘Panjabi aa gaye oye’ in every event that he did but did not ever perform in Punjab. A lot of people tried to agitate him on this basis, but he was prepared for it, wishing them that God blesses them as well.
“There were many difficulties; the entire world tour on one side and the India tour on another. A lot of people annoyed me, but I was prepared,” said the singer while he performed on the stage.
Further, declaring that Ludhiana’s grand concert was the best night of the tour, he stated that he had the option to perform in places like Goa but preferred his hometown to Goa, saying “Take me to Ludhiana instead”. He added the experience of his tour by stating that India’s tour is exceedingly extraordinary to be compared with the entire world tour.
While expressing his love for his natives, he expressed how the city taught him to dream, and even after performing at Coachella – the music and art festival, he desired Ludhiana’s performance. Adding to this heart-warming statement, he advised the youth to dream and work hard for them. “I would like to tell the youth to have large aspirations and far-reaching dreams, how much you can. Society will try to stop you, and judge your status and the worth of your dreams. But never stop dreaming.” Furthermore, the actor expressed the value of working hard by saying “Mehnat Mandatory Hai”.
Later, Dosanjh thanked the audience for the concert, exclaiming that the Grand Finale of the ‘DIL-LUMINATI’ tour could not have happened such as that, if not in Ludhiana.
