Ajith Kumar's manager dismisses rumours about Thalapathy Vijay being silent on his Padma Bhushan honour

The prestigious Padma Awards for 2025 were announced on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day on January 26, and actor Ajith Kumar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema over the past three decades.
Meanwhile, the actor has also made headlines in the world of motorsports. Competing in Dubai’s 24H Car Race, Ajith’s racing team secured a third-place finish, earning widespread appreciation from fans and racing enthusiasts alike. His commitment to the sport continues, as he is expected to focus on car racing until October before shifting his attention back to films.

Following his Padma Bhushan recognition and racing achievement, congratulations poured in from celebrities, industry peers, and well-wishers. However, social media was soon abuzz with speculation regarding actor Thalapathy Vijay’s silence on the matter. Some questioned whether Vijay had chosen not to congratulate Ajith or simply hadn’t found the time.

According to Indiaglitz, addressing these rumours, Ajith’s manager, Suresh Chandra, dismissed the claims, saying, "These claims are entirely baseless. Vijay was among the first to congratulate Ajith Sir on his racing victory. Similarly, when the Padma Bhushan award was announced, Vijay Sir also congratulated him. Both share a genuine and heartfelt friendship. So, there is no truth to the claim that Vijay Sir didn’t extend his wishes."
On the work front, Ajith Kumar is gearing up for the release of Vidaamuyarchi by Magizh Thirumeni, and the movie will hit theatres on February 6. It also features Trisha Krishnan in a key role. The expectations are quite high for 'Vidaamuyarchi' and the recently released song 'Pathikichu' and trailer received good responses from the audiences. On the other hand, Vijay was last seen in Venkat Prabhu's action flick 'GOAT'.
