Sudha Kongara and
Sivakarthikeyan’s first film together now has a title — Parasakthi. Ravi Mohan is playing the antagonist in the film, which also stars Atharvaa and Sreeleela in main roles.
It will be a big-budget period action film set in the 1950s and ’60s, informs Aakash Baskaran, the film’s producer. “We are shooting the film all over Tamil Nadu in real locations. The work started in May, and the pre-production went on for six months. The first schedule was in Chennai and the second and third schedules were in Puducherry and Chidambaram. The shoot should be done by June or July,” he adds.
On titling his film after
Sivaji Ganesan’s 1952 hit film, which has irked fans of the Nadigar Thilagam, Aakash says, “The film will live up to the value of its title. When it comes out, it will be respectful and won’t hurt fans of the original.”
“GV (Prakash Kumar) has scored five amazing songs for the film. We have already shot two songs,” the producer further shares.
On the other hand, Sivakarthikeyan's previous outing was the drama movie 'Amaran' which received good reviews from the audiences and turned out to be a superhit. The movie had Sai Pallavi in the female lead.
