2 Maoists gunned down in Jharkhand forest, arms recovered

Two Maoists, including a woman, were gunned down by security forces in Nachalda forest near Tilaiyatola village of West Singhbhum Wednesday, police said. Two INSAS rifles, nine INSAS magazines, 313 live bullets of 5.56mm rifle, 28 detonators besides explosive materials, warm clothes and kitchen items were seized, SP Ashutosh Shekhar said. "Our forces conducted an operation based on inputs about the presence of a squad led by Maoist regional committee commander Amit Munda," SP said.
