Indra Sena Reddy Nallu takes oath as Governor of Mizoram

Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has been sworn in as the Governor of Mizoram by Justice Nelson Sailo at Raj Bhavan. Nallu, also serving as Tripura's governor, will take over from Hari Babu Kambhampati during his medical leave. The event saw attendance from chief minister Lalduhoma and other senior officials.

AIZAWL: Indra Sena Reddy Nallu on Monday took oath as the governor of Mizoram. Gauhati High Court judge Justice Nelson Sailo administered the oath of office to Nallu at the Raj Bhavan here.
Nallu who is the governor of Tripura, will be the holding additional charge of Mizoram during the absence of the incumbent Mizoram governor, Hari Babu Kambhampati, who is on leave due to health issues.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Lalduhoma and his cabinet colleagues, Assembly Speaker Lalbiakzama, Lok Sabha MP Richard Vanlalhmangaiha and other senior officials.
In a notification issued by President Droupadi Murmu last week, Nallu was appointed to take additional charge as the governor of Mizoram during the absence on leave of Hari Babu Kambhampati.
Kambhampati, who was appointed as the governor of Mizoram in 2021, was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad due to a lung infection on September 10.
Raj Bhavan sources here said that Kambhampati has been discharged from the hospital and he is now taking rest at his home in Visakhapatnam.
Although his condition is stable now, Kambhampati is not in a position to resume his duty as the governor, the sources said.
