KOCHI: A vigilance court on Saturday dismissed a petition seeking an inquiry into the alleged undue payments made by Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL) to
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena T and her consultancy firm, Exalogic Solution Pvt Ltd, saying no case of bribery was made out, as alleged.
The Muvattupuzha vigilance court said the complainant had not furnished any material showing that the the CM had abused his official position and extended any favours or benefits to CMRL in return for the payment of Rs 1.7 crore paid to Veena and Exalogic during the financial years 2017-18 and 2019-20.
The petitioner, Girish Babu, said he would challenge the order in the HC.
