There’s always been a debate about the health benefits of jeera i.e. cumin seeds and chia seeds water. Cumin seeds are one of the oldest spices used in every Indian household and are mixed with water in some making it a healthy drink. On the other hand, chia seeds are a more Western hold that is now being consumed by Indians in yogurt, salads, and as a detox drink having multiple health benefits. But, only a handful of people know that these two have benefits on our skin as well. Let’s see which one is better for our skin.
Jeera water for skin
Jeera water is rich in antioxidants and contains healthy minerals and vitamins that help our skin glow. It instantly eliminates the toxins that promote radiant and clear skin, whereas casts a protective shield on our hair as well making them shiny, healthy, and fresh. A morning glass of water with two spoons of cumin seeds or jeera would give you the results in approximately 3 to 4 weeks.

Chia seeds for skin
Also rich in antioxidants and minerals, it also has essential fatty acids and improves our skin texture, reduces inflammation, and further protects us from environmental damage. It improves collagen production keeping our skin firm and elastic. Chia seeds further protect our skin from harmful UV rays and reduce signs of aging and fine line issues.

Easy to make
Step 1: Take a glass of water and if preferred cumin seeds then add only one tablespoon. If you wish to have chia seeds then add at least 2 tablespoons.
Step 2: Boil the water with cumin seeds, simmer a little, and consume with lemon juice and honey. In the case of chia seeds, you simply swirl it a bit with a spoon and directly consume the water with the seeds.
Reminder: You need to soak the cumin seeds overnight, strain the water, remove the seeds and then consume it.

Both chia and jeera water have tons of benefits, but chia seeds come with hydrating properties and omega-3 fatty acids. It is also rich in vitamin F and fibre which improves our skin’s hydration and retains moisture. On the other hand, if you’re facing inflammatory issues and have a problem with your gut that results in indigestion or constipation issues resulting in skin acne, then start consuming Jeera water every day in the morning.
