Manasi Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief and Vice-President of Penguin Press, announced the release, begining the show with the first three lines from the book. The highlight of the evening was a special segment between the co-authors, moderated by Mr. Verma, a close friend of KP Singh. The discussion went around Singh’s bold vision and life philosophy, which brought forth how he has always embraced opportunities and challenges with courage.
'Why the Heck Not?' is one of the few tools available today that have depicted KP Singh's journey in changing the Indian real estate scenario. It is the story of how KP Singh turned out to be one of the biggest business leaders in India, from being a small-town boy. It gives a glimpse into the power of resilience, risk-taking, and saying "yes" to any opportunity without sacrificing one's morals and ethics. Thus, by reading this book, readers will gain a deep understanding of the role of Singh in making DLF a real estate leader and raising the bar for corporate excellence.

The book's release is quite timely as KP Singh approaches his 95th birthday. When asked why he chose to write this book instead of enjoying his retirement, Singh remarked, "There's a difference between being retired and tired. My memory is sharp, and I wanted to share my journey before moving on".
The book 'Why the Heck Not?' should be read by every entrepreneur, business enthusiast, and inspiration-seeker as it offers rich insights on leadership, innovation, and perseverance. The Delhi-based real estate conglomerate DLF grew into becoming India's largest real estate under Singh's leadership, upgrading the nation's urban infrastructure and attracting great investments.
Singh's long vision played a crucial role in bringing General Electric (GE) to invest in India, thus igniting the BPO revolution. By enabling GE's entry, he paved the way for other multinational companies, establishing India as a global outsourcing leader, enhancing economic growth, and generating significant employment opportunities.
Singh holds innumerable accolades, most notably the Padma Bhushan in 2010. Today, having reached 95, he remains actively engaged in sports and charitable causes that make a difference for vulnerable groups worldwide. His new book is therefore a testament not just to his life but also to motivating future generations to pursue their dreams with unrelenting passion and zeal.
