'Reflections of Ram Sewak' by senior IAS officer Anirudh Tewari launched in Delhi

A new book by senior IAS officer Anirudh Tewari titled 'Reflections of Ram Sewak' was launched at an event held ay the Delhi Gymkhana Club recently. The book, which is published by TreeShade Books, explores the timeless wisdom of two of the most revered spiritual texts from India-- The Gita and Shri Ramcharitmanas. "The book seamlessly integrates the wisdom of these two immortal spiritual masterpieces, mirroring the verses (chaupais and dohas) of Shri Ramcharitmanas with the shlokas of The Gita to bring into focus the eternalness of their messages. It invites readers of all age groups to discover their transformative power and progress to a life of integrity, love, compassion, and purpose," the book blurb reads.
In his address, Shri Tewari shared a heartfelt homage to his father, Shri Ram Sewak Tewari, to whom the book is tributed. Talking about the book, he further said, “This book is an attempt to explore the philosophical confluence of two of India’s most revered sacred texts—The Gita and Shri Ramcharitmanas— both of which have deeply influenced Indian society and shaped our cultural identity and moral fabric... While Vedanta provides the guidelines for an ideal life, it is through Shri Ram's life and conduct that we learn the possibility of living by these ideals. He demonstrated, through his actions, what it means to be the Maryada Purushottam— the best among honourable men—setting a timeless example for us all.”
The author also reflected on how the teachings of Shri Ramcharitmanas and The Gita have greatly influenced his life and work, thus underscoring the importance of goodness like truth, forgiveness, and compassion.
The event also included an interesting panel discussion between the author Shri Tewari and Group Captain D.N. Bajpai (Retd.). They spoke on themes like the Ramcharitmanas as a source of inspiration, how it is relevant even today, and the common teachings in the Ramcharitmanas and The Gita.
For the formal book launch, Shri Anirudh Tewari was joined on stage by his family, along with Group Captain D.N. Bajpai (Retd.) and Vineet Bajpai, author, entrepreneur and Founder & Publisher of TreeShade Books.
