BENGALURU: Astrome Technologies has raised $10 million in funding led by Appollo Fund, with follow-on investments from IAN Group. The company will use the funds to develop wireless connectivity technologies, scale operations, expand product lines, and enter the satellite communication market.
The funding will support Astrome's expansion in market presence and product development for both terrestrial and satellite communications. Investors from India, Singapore, and Dubai participated in this round.
Neha Satak, CEO of Astrome said: “This investment will help us advance solutions for ground and space communication. Our entry into the satcom market aligns with our founding vision to improve global connectivity.”
Investment coordinator Bandana Kankani said: “Astrome Technologies addresses the growing demand for high-bandwidth connectivity. This funding will support the company's growth in E-Band communication.”
The company's GigaMesh product works with optical fiber systems for 5G and 6G connectivity. It includes electronic auto link alignment and point-to-multipoint connectivity features. Astrome plans to increase production and develop new solutions for international markets.
“The demand for scalable communication solutions continues to grow. Astrome's technology presents a solution to bridge the digital divide,” said Srajan Shetty, Co-investor from Dubai.
Astrome is preparing to supply GigaMesh to overseas markets through global OEM partnerships. The company notes that current mechanical antenna alignment technology limits E-band usage in global markets due to higher ownership costs.
The company has worked with the Indian government to provide broadband access in rural areas. Its clients include the
Indian Army,
Indian Navy, and BSNL.
