Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is in talks with director Amit Rai to bring to life a grand-scale historical film on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Producers are captivated by Amit Rai's vision and have chosen Shahid Kapoor to portray the iconic figure.

Director Amit Rai reflects on the clash between 'OMG 2' and 'Gadar 2', blaming the 'A' rating given by CBFC for the former's poor box office performance. Despite controversy and the rating, 'OMG 2' earned an estimated Rs 220 crore. Amit believes that without the 'A' certificate, the film could have competed with 'Gadar 2' and attracted more families. He expresses satisfaction with starting a conversation about sex education but hints at an uncut release of 'OMG 2' on OTT platforms.

Director Amit Rai believes that if OMG 2 did not have an A-certificate, the film's box office record would have been bigger and it would have performed neck and neck with Gadar 2 because families would have come to watch it in theatres.

OMG 2 aimed to promote sex education in schools and also starred Yami Gautam.

However, now that the film is available for online streaming, the actor hopes that more people will watch and understand it.

Akshay Kumar feels that every child should see OMG 2 on OTT as they couldn't see it in the theaters.

Amit Rai revealed that the streaming platform is not ready to show the uncut version. He further added that the streaming platform will show the same version that the Censor Board passed.
