Three persons were arrested on Tuesday for attempting to kidnap a businessman's son for ransom in KPHB police station limits. The arrested accused have been identified as Chinchinada Narsimha Swamy (29), Singaluri Suresh (26) and Prashanth (31), while two other accused, Nagaraju and Babu, are on the run.

A toddler went missing at a park in Vijayawada, and was found dead in a well the next day. His mother claimed he had been kidnapped, but police found no evidence of that. They started looking for him in the area, and on Sunday morning found his body floating in the well next to the home of the father. The mother admitted that the toddler had fallen into the well by accident, but lied to her family about it to avoid getting scolded.
