In an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV, Krish shared his reason for the break, characters he would love to explore and more:

The daily show 'Balika Vadhu' is going to witness some twists in the story with the entry of two new actors. While actor Krish Chauhan has been roped in to play the role of 'Anand', actress Manasi Salvi will be seen as his mother 'Bhairavi'.

Period drama Punyashlok Ahilyabai that starred child actors Aditi Jaltare and Krish Chauhan in pivotal roles of Ahilyabai and Khanderao Holkar respectively, will now come to an end as the show takes a leap and starts its ‘yuva adhyay’.

Krish Chauhan who played the character of young Khanderao in the show Punyashlok Ahilyabai returns to the show with a leap and a new character. Krish will be playing the role of young Male Rao Holkar, who was Khanderao and Ahilya's only son.

We had reported about Kinshuk Vaidya being roped in to play the grown-up Khanderao Holkar in Punyashlok Ahilyabai. However, even before the actor was introduced on the show, he has opted out. Gaurav Amlani will now be playing the part. While Kinshuk remained unavailable for comment, producer Nitin Vaidya told us, “We worked hard on the upcoming storyline and the introduction track of the grown-up Khanderao. A contract was signed with Kinshuk. However, he chose to take up another project and told us that he wanted to opt out of the show. We have thus roped in Gaurav to play the part now. We have also informed CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association) of Kinshuk’s unprofessionalism.”

Punyashlok Ahilyabai is all set to go in for a time-leap of seven years and we have learnt that Kinshuk Vaidya, who was last seen as Arjun in RadhaKrishn, has been roped in to play the grown-up Khanderao Holkar in the historical show. He will take over from the child artiste Krish Chauhan to essay the part. Aetasha Sansgiri will be seen as the grown-up Ahilyabai Holkar.

Since the show is set in the backdrop of the 18th century time period, the actors are required to do extensive research and preparations in order to do justice to the historical characters they portray on-screen.
