Veteran filmmaker Lal Jose is set to direct Fahadh Faasil in a film adaptation of K N Prasanth's novel ‘Ponam’. The film, which is a tale of vengeance set in the Kerala-Karnataka border, will mark their second collaboration after ‘Immanuel’ (2013). On the work front, Fahadh Faasil was last seen in Amal Neerad's directorial ‘Bougainvillea’. ETimes rated the film 3.5 out of 5, and the review reads, “Bougainvillea, if you watch it without reading Ruthinte Lokam by Laijo Jose, from which it was inspired, can fool you in the first half if you aren't careful."
