Aaron Korsh, the creator of the beloved legal drama Suits, isn’t holding back when it comes to addressing fan concerns about the show’s new spinoff, Suits LA. The 58-year-old, now leading the West Coast iteration of the series, engaged with fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Jan. 26, clearing up speculation about how the spinoff will honor its predecessor while standing on its own.
Responding to a fan worried that Suits LA might “ruin” the legacy of original characters, Korsh reassured fans about the new direction. He praised the spinoff’s cast—which includes
Stephen Amell and Bryan Greenberg—saying, “Not trying to replace our beloved originals. Just a new crew working in a different city handling different kinds of cases.”
Korsh also acknowledged fans’ attachment to the original series and cast, noting the natural hesitancy toward change. “It seems like people are all wishing it was the originals back. I expected this and can’t blame them,” he tweeted. “I can only hope they give Suits LA an open-minded try. If they do, I really believe they will grow to love it.”
With its fresh ensemble and distinct setting, Suits LA aims to carve out its own identity while staying true to the spirit of the original series that captivated fans worldwide.
