Exclusive - Gaurav Wadhwa on Jamai No. 1’s wedding sequence: Expect high-voltage drama and emotional twists

Actor Gaurav Wadhwa, who plays Vicky in Jamai No. 1, is thrilled about the ongoing wedding track in the show. As one of the most extravagant sequences in the series, it promises intense drama, emotional conflicts, and a visual spectacle for the audience.
Sharing his experience of shooting for the grand wedding, Gaurav says, “We are having a great time filming this sequence. A wedding always brings a festive atmosphere, and we are trying to capture that essence in the show. The audience can expect high-voltage drama along with emotional twists and turns that will keep them engaged.”
Apart from the entertainment factor, the storyline also carries meaningful takeaways. “There are some moral messages as well. While the wedding celebrations bring happiness, they also come with challenges that reflect real-life situations. Viewers will find a strong emotional connection with the track,” he adds.
However, shooting such large-scale sequences is not without its challenges. According to Gaurav, one of the biggest difficulties is the continuity of costumes. “On screen, wedding attire looks grand and beautiful, but behind the scenes, it can get exhausting. Sometimes, wedding sequences in daily soaps extend for over a month, and we have to wear the same outfits throughout. It does get monotonous, but it’s part of the job,” he explains.
Despite these challenges, the actor is thoroughly enjoying the vibrant atmosphere on set. “It genuinely feels like we are part of a real wedding. The energy, the decor, and the interactions with co-stars make it feel like a family function. It brings back memories of weddings in our own families,” he shares.
Gaurav is optimistic about the audience’s response to the upcoming episodes. “I think after this wedding sequence, we will get even more engagement from viewers. We have worked hard to make it visually stunning and emotionally impactful. I am confident that the audience will enjoy it just as much as we did while shooting.”
