Sudesh Lehri recently visited Archana Puran Singh's home for the interesting last meal that Archana prepared for him. As they sat for a conversation, Sudesh made heartfelt revelations about his struggling days and how the tables turned for him.
Sudesh talks about Archana's lavish bungalow and says he has only seen such homes in films. Parmeet revealed that even Sudesh owns a lavish apartment and a special home theatre space. Sudesh replied, 'I got that done specially for Krushna's films, uski filmein theatre mein lagti nahi. I keep searching for his films. So now I watch them at my place.'
I have seen a lot of poverty in childhood. I used to work at tea stalls, small workshops and all. So I know how to make tea and I even worked at shoe workshops where you put heels, grease the futtey and all. I had even worked in nut bolt workshops too where you had to cut the wires into small pieces for the making.
I used to even sell fruits and vegetables to make a living. Archana asks Sudesh to share how he used to sell them. As Sudesh narrates, Ayushmann says that he would have surely bought everything from him.
I believe that during all these struggles, I learned to act in my real-life situations. In those days we had to even lie, ameeron ko jhoot bolne ki zarurat nahi, they get what they wanted but we had to lie to either borrow or return the money. Lendar ke saamne ro diya jab lautane ki baari aayi.
Sudesh revealed that he loved watching films. Archana asked how he afforded to buy tickets, to which Sudesh replied, 'If the ticket used to be of a rupee and 10 paisa then I would borrow a rupee from someone and then would ask everyone in the line to give 10 paisa and then return the rupee to the friend I borrowed from.'
I was doing a show in the palace and I was singing there. A drunkard came and slapped me so hard in the running show, that my mic fell and I was completely stunned. I felt so insulted and I was in tears, I asked my team not to react. I felt so hurt that my craft was not appreciated. I came home and told my wife that aaj ke baad yeh show nahi karunga.
I sold my house, returned my loans and we shifted on rent. I had the fire burning in me that I wanted to do something bigger. Sometimes god gives you pain to push you to a better life and then I got my first show Alpha Gaddi which got hit and I went all over the world with the show.
