Country Star Sam Hunt Arrested For Speeding, Violating Interlock Device 5 Years After DUI
Sam Hunt, the country music star, was arrested in Henderson County, Tennessee, on January 20 for speeding and violating interlock device regulations. Police pulled him over and took him to jail, but he was released later that same day on a $1,500 bond. The interlock device, a breathalyzer for cars, was a result of his past DUI history, as he was ordered to install it following his 2019 DUI case. Hunt’s representative confirmed the arrest to TMZ, stating that no charges would be filed. His 2019 DUI arrest involved driving the wrong way and blowing a .173 blood alcohol content (BAC), over twice the legal limit. He pleaded guilty in 2021, served time at DUI Education Centers, and lost his license for one year.
