Kharge vs Tharoor: Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka cast vote in Congress presidential contest

After 24 years, the Congress is set to pick a non-Gandhi as party president with senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor facing off in an historic electoral contest on Monday. Interestingly, Shashi Tharoor was the first to declare his intent to run in the election; Kharge's nomination was a late decision, coming after Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot backed out over discontent in the state party unit.
