Pakistan army says militants killed 18 soldiers in Balochistan

At least 18 soldiers were killed and five others injured in attacks by separatist militants in Balochistan’s Kalat district. Security forces managed to repel the terrorists. The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility, stating they captured a security forces camp in Mangochar.

Pakistan: Amnesty International slams "hasty passage" of Peca act, demands repeal

Amnesty International condemned Pakistan's recently passed prevention of electronic crimes (amendment) act 2025, urging authorities to repeal it to protect freedom of expression. Critics, including Babu Ram Pant from Amnesty, argue the law could suppress dissent and is rushed without proper debate. Journalistic bodies globally, including IFJ and RSF, also oppose the amendments, highlighting concerns over censorship and internet freedom.
