Uprise III
Oh hail the good old world
a simple life forevermore
when evaluation was for the mystics
Oh hail the good old days
Speaks the one in power
when not affected ignorance is bliss
why listen to reason and evidence
When everything can just stay the same
on their thrones of might and power
made of the gold they inherited
piled up by the greed of their grandfathers
made on the backs of those who suffered
they still dictate our lives
with ashen hearts and selfishness
try to keep your voices buried
with a fog of lightning gases
Uprise - there is no better war to fight
Uprise - than for a future where reason and compassion decides
Uprise - for there might be no tomorrow
Uprise - on this selfish path we follow
For too long white old men dictated
the definition of what is wrong and right
And our fires were extinguished
while world and mankind suffered
Oh hail the old ways
where we exploited all we could grasp
lives and nature, nothing was save
Oh hail when we did not have to answer
Speak the ones in power
they still rule with oppression
by denying everyone else a voice
who is not an image of themselves
And so they reigned with iron hands
by pretending that everyone has equal rights
if it is only their way or none
all hope is lost
and they keep destroying our planet
with their never ending greed for money
And they keep us from true social justice
with their smokescreens of fear and panic
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
It has all the hallmarks of raw black metal but with solid production. Remnants of Dissection and Emperor percolate from time to time, but they're their own beast. If you love riff centric black metal, you're going to really love this. Fans of recent Lamp of Murmuur are definitely going to want to pick this up. One of the better black metal albums this year.
