    Heyas,

I noticed that themes which still have the widget editor (/wp-admin/widgets.php) and widget areas, classic themes I believe, will throw a PHP Notice if debug is true.
Naturally it’s just a notice and isn’t critical, but still it points to something being done incorrectly.
    The message:

Notice: Function wp_enqueue_script() was called incorrectly. "wp-editor" script should not be enqueued together with the new widgets editor (wp-edit-widgets or wp-customize-widgets). Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.8.0.) in D:\Dev\Local\default-wordpress\app\public\wp-includes\functions.php on line 6131

This message does go away the moment Simply History is deactivated.

    For context I’m running:

    • WordPress 6.9.4
    • Simple History 5.24.1
    • Theme: Twenty Twenty-One 2.7

The test site I used to confirm this has no other plugins.

Note I don’t usually run the Twenty Twenty-One theme, but it’s the latest WordPress default theme that has widget areas and the widget editor.
However our own custom themes do this too, but it’s easier to test this with Twenty Twenty-One.

    Best regards,
    Tuomas
