Robert F Kennedy Jr. has stunned and amazed social media users for deep frying a turkey for Thanksgiving, and pulling the bird from the pot without any shoes on.
The 70-year-old had shared a video of himself to his social media pages on Thursday of him cooking to celebrate the holiday. One X user compared what could happen if the stunt went wrong to 'Hiroshima'.
Kennedy could be seen with his wife Cheryl Hines, of Curb Your Enthusiasm fame, as he submerged a whole turkey into the pot of murky oil.
He explains the oil used is beef tallow, showing a box full of the white rendered fat to the camera.
As he precariously starts lowering the bird into the pot, he says: 'This is the dangerous part', while the beef tallow bubbles and cracks away.
RFK asks Hines: 'Honey are you going to eat some of this', as she pops her head into frame and adds: 'No, I don't eat turkey'.
The video then cuts to him 40 minutes later, as he pulls the bird from the hot oil without any shoes on, as he says: 'That's going to be delicious.'

His lack of footwear has caused a stir on social media, with many also questioning how deep frying a bird is healthy, after he was picked to oversee the health department by president-elect Donald Trump.
One person commented on the video: 'Taking a huge turkey out of boiling hot oil in bare feet is the most RFK thing possible.'
Another added: 'I'm not exactly the health secretary of the United States or whatever but you never EVER cook with bare feet AND especially not right near hot oil/grease.
'Anyways good luck with this moron cooking his turkey on a clothes hanger.'
One other posted: 'I've worked in several kitchens and around boiling grease and you're a madman doing this barefoot lmfao.'
Despite some hate over the post, others seen his barefoot approach as a good sign that was worth of praise.
Podcaster Joe Rogan described it as a proud American moment.
'Deep frying a turkey in beef tallow while barefoot, God Bless America & RFK,' he wrote on X.

According to The National Fire Protection Association, Thanksgiving is the peak day for homefires and they strongly discourage frying turkeys.
In a public safety notice, the group said: 'Turkey fryers that use cooking oil are not safe. These fryers use large amounts of oil at high temperatures, which can cause devastating burns.
'If you want a fried turkey for your Thanksgiving meal, purchase it from a grocery store, restaurant or buy a fryer that does not use oil.'
Kennedy's appointment sent shockwaves through the public health sector given his reputation as an anti-vaxxer who has pushed conspiracy theories about a number of health-related topics.
He has railed against processed foods, vowed to remove fluoride from public water systems and suggested COVID was engineered to be 'ethnically targeted.'
Kennedy had boosted Trump's 2024 run by suspending his independent presidential campaign the day after the Democratic National Convention wrapped up in August.
