There might not be many good things to come out of 2020, but Stanley Tucci's cocktail tutorials have been one of the brighter spots in an otherwise tumultuous year.
After destroying the internet by showing us all how to make the perfect Negroni, Tucci decided to enlist the help of his The Devil Wears Prada costar, Emily Blunt, who just so happens to be his sister-in-law, and her husband, John Krasinski. "I have these helpers here, I have these elves," Tucci said of his famous relatives.
At the start of the video, Tucci told his wife, Felicity Blunt, that he wanted to make her "a special Christmas cocktail, a Christmas Cosmo." He explained, "It's a little different than a normal Cosmo," before revealing that he switches out lime juice for pomegranate.
"Happy Holidays from our family to yours 🎄✨," Tucci captioned the post. He also revealed, "This video was made in accordance with the UK Government’s Covid 19 regulations in place at the time of filming," to put everyone's minds at rest. Then, the actor shared his inimitable recipe for an extra-special Christmas Cosmopolitan:⠀
• 3 tbsps pomegranate seeds⠀
• 25 ml Cointreau ⠀
• 50ml Vodka⠀
• 25 ml cranberry juice⠀
• 25ml pomegranate juice⠀
• Ice⠀
• Sugar ⠀
• 1 Sprig of Rosemary, 1 mint leaf and 1 raspberry for garnish⠀
Later in the video, Emily and Krasinski sampled Tucci's cocktail recipe, and it seems as though it was a resounding success. While Tucci looked dapper in a sleek suit, Krasinski and Emily wore Santa hats and tinsel. It was the perfect Christmas celebration.
