Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller and Detective Inspector Alec Hardy are back to investigate one last case. BBC America has released the trailer for the third and final season of its drama series “Broadchurch,” which centers on the murder investigation of 11-year-old Danny Latimer in the once-sleepy seaside town of Dorset, England. The series is created by Chris Chibnall (“Camelot,” “Gracepoint”) and stars Olivia Colman and David Tennant as the detective duo.

Home Fires will continue but not on TV. According to The Bookseller, the cancelled ITV series will be continued as a set of books.The UK drama, which aired on PBS in the U.S., followed the members of the Women's Institute during World War II. Rewind two years and the atmosphere surrounding the new series of Broadchurch was one of gentle hysteria. Preview access was fiercely guarded and press releases were accompanied by secrecy oaths sworn in blood. The success of the first run and the anticipation for its sequel were so great that it felt less like series two was airing than making an official state visit.

No show can bear the weight of that much expectation. The frenzy drained away and the follow-up was tossed like a limp dog toy between snapping muzzle headlines about falling ratings. Millions kept watching...

“Broadchurch” is back for its third and final season, with David Tennant and Olivia Colman returning as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller, respectively. This time, they team up to investigate one last case: a violent sexual assault. Check out the first teaser trailer below.

In this season, a three-year flash-forward finds the two detectives investigating another crime in their once-sleepy seaside town, which may or may not be related to the Danny Latimer case that plagued the townspeople in season one.

Among other returning cast members are Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan as Beth and Mark Latimer. Also coming back: Arthur Darvill as Vicar Paul Coates; Carolyn Pickles as newspaper editor Maggie Radcliffe; Charlotte Beaumont as Mark and Beth’s daughter Chloe; and Adam Wilson as Ellie’s son Tom.

BAFTA winner Lenny Henry has joined the cast of the third season of hit ITV crime drama "Broadchurch" which just began production today. The series will mark the final outing for David Tennant and Olivia Colman in their famed roles as detectives Hardy and Miller.

In the new eight episode season, the pair reunite to investigate a serious sexual assault. The season looks at the emotional cost for all of those involved and the irreparable damage to friendships and relationships.

Roy Hudd, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Georgina Campbell, Sarah Parish, Charlie Higson and Mark Bazeley also join the cast this time while returning members include Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill, Carolyn Pickles, Charlotte Beaumont and Adam Wilson.

You can't keep the home fires burning in UK. The Home Fires TV show has been cancelled by ITV. Actor Daniel Ryan, who played Bryn Brindsley in the World War II era drama, broke the bad news on Twitter. His tweet reads: "So, it is with huge sadness I must tell you that #HomeFires has been cancelled. Awful to leave stories untold and lives incomplete. Sorry."

Executive producer Catherine Oldfield also tweeted about the Home Fires cancellation, saying: "So very sorry that #Homefires won't be back. We loved making the show & that it was well received by so many made it all the more special." The Home Fires cast also includes: Samantha Bond, Francesca Annis, Ruth Gemmell, Claire Rushbrook, Ed Stoppard, Chris Coghill, Clare Calbraith, Fenella Woolgar, Mark Bazeley, and Mike Noble.

Shane West will star opposite Leslie Bibb in Jonathan Wright's thriller "Z" for Sony Pictures. Michael Baker and Jeff Sackman will produce.

Comedian, actor, writer, campaigner and knight bachelor Sir Lenny Henry has joined the ensemble cast of ITV's Broadchurch series three in an as-yet-undisclosed role. Don't expect it to be a comic part though, given the series' "serious sexual assault" storyline.

ITV has announced the cast for its new six-part drama series Home Fires.

Previously known as Jambusters, the period piece follows a group of inspirational women in Cheshire at the height of World War II.

Banding together as the Great Paxford Women's Institute, they help maintain the nation's fabric in its darkest hour.

Downton Abbey's Samantha Bond and Cranford's Francesca Annis will lead the cast, which also includes Mark Bonnar (Line of Duty), Ruth Gemmell (Utopia), and Claire Rushbrook (My Mad Fat Diary).

Mark Bazeley (The Suspicions of Mr Whicher), Frances Grey (The Widower) and Ed Stoppard (Cilla) will also feature in Simon Block's adaptation of Julie Summers's non-fiction book Jambusters.

Sex and the City star to appear in Trevor Nunn-directed play based on the 1987 thriller

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis will make her West End debut in a stage version of the hit film Fatal Attraction. She joins a cast that includes Natascha McElhone in the role made famous by Glenn Close. The 1987 film centres on a casual fling that goes wrong when Close's character becomes obsessed with lawyer Dan Gallagher and his family.

Mark Bazeley will play Gallagher, the role played by Michael Douglas in the film.

Davis played Charlotte in Sex and the City for more than five years and also appeared alongside co-stars including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall in two film versions of the show.

Close was nominated for an Oscar for her role as the obsessive other woman, who in one scene famously cooks a pet rabbit belonging to her ex-lover's family.

HBO has announced a Saturday May 29th at 9pm Us-est air time for the much anticipated telemovie "The Special Relationship".

The Richard Loncraine-directed film is the third effort in "Frost/Nixon" writer Peter Morgan's 'Blair trilogy' following on from 2003 British TV movie "The Deal" and 2006 Oscar-winning feature "The Queen". Michael Sheen will once again reprise the role of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair as he did in the previous two.

Playwright/screenwriter Peter Morgan and actor Michael Sheen have teamed for two films featuring former British Prime Minister Tony Blair: The Deal and The Queen. Their third project together is The Special Relationship, which chronicles the working relationship between Blair and Bill Clinton in the late '90s. The photo above is the first look at Dennis Quaid in costume as Clinton. It's not as eerily convincing as Josh Brolin was as George W. Bush in W., but Quaid looks fine. Summary: In the months leading up to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, an American man arrives in Shanghai to find his friend recently murdered. In investigating his friend's death, he stumbles upon a secret the United States government has been keeping and falls in love in the process.

Analysis: After being granted permission to shoot in the Chinese city, the $10 million production found its permit quickly being revoked by the Government who expressed concerns about the script. The result is Bangkok and the United Kingdom standing in for the real Shanghai which seems kind of against the entire point.

Cusack himself has emphatically endorsed the project in interviews, calling it a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity", but being stuck at the cash-strapped Weinstein Company means that its release plans are unsure beyond a vague promise of a limited bow around Easter.
