Eddie Vedder concluded a brief run of tour dates with his solo band Earthlings on Friday Oct. 7 in Las Vegas, and the group pulled out a cover of the Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” during the encore. The band first launched their tour in support of Earthling, Vedder’s first solo album in 11 years, in February.

Vedder and the Earthlings — which includes guitarist Andrew Watt, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, and former Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer — performed at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

Dave Grohl and the other surviving members of Foo Fighters will pay tribute to their late drummer Taylor Hawkins in an all-star live concert on Saturday, Sep. 3. Hawkins died unexpectedly at age 50 in Bogotá, Colombia in March.

Among the music legends who are gathering to honor Hawkins are Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, Rush’s Geddy Lee, Chrissie Hynde, Liam Gallagher, Krist Novoselic of Nirvana, as well as drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell, who sat in for Hawkins after winning a “drum off” with Foo Fighters frontman (and former Nirvana drummer) Grohl.

A separate tribute concert in Los Angeles on Sep. 27 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood is sold out.

The concert will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, with performances from the Foo Fighters, Hawkins’ son Shane, drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell and a who’s who of rock ‘n’ roll drummers, including Travis Barker of Blink-182, Stewart Copeland of The Police fame, and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich.

“Music is a powerful connector, and we are honored to commemorate Taylor Hawkins’ enduring legacy by bringing together Paramount’s portfolio of brands and assets to build even deeper connections with his global fan base,” said Bakish in a statement shared with TheWrap.

Paramount+ will live stream the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert, a music industry gathering that will honor the late Foo Fighters drummer who died on March 25. The company made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

The statement was accompanied by a list of key contributors for the event, many of which had previously been unannounced. The new list of figures set to appear during event includes Travis Barker, Martin Chambers, Stewart Copeland, Josh Freese, Violet Grohl, Justin Hawkins, James Gang, Brian Johnson, Kesha, Luke Spiller, Lars Ulrich and Taylor Hawkins’ son, Shane, who performed Foo Fighters’ “My Hero” as a tribute to his late father at a block party in July.

The legendary Ozzy Osbourne feels remorse for not making “more varied” music. While he is proud of the way Black Sabbath made heavy metal “big”, the rockstar said that he would have liked to have explored outside of the genre and produced some songs that were less “aggressive”, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“You know what, I would have liked to have been a little more varied,” he told The Sun newspaper when asked if he wished he had ever moved away from heavy metal.

“Black Sabbath music is very aggressive even if some of it is foot-tapping.”

“But we fought the f****** world to make it big. But mind you, it’s a good thing we didn’t get our royalties when we were 23 because I would have f***** myself into another planet.”

The 73-year-old singer said that there are some collaborations he’d loved to have been able to secure.
