Tom Welling, the former Superman actor, was arrested for driving under the influence in an Arby’s parking lot in Yreka, California, early Monday morning, According to TMZ.

Police reports indicate his blood alcohol level was at or above 0.08 percent. Before the arrest, Welling had posted a birthday message to his wife, Jessica Rose Lee, on social media. He has not yet commented on the incident.

More than three years after Welling first told TVLine that he and Rosenbaum were working on an animated Smallville follow-up, the actor has now shared with ScreenRant that the project is in limbo while he and Rosenbaum await a go-ahead from Warner Bros. Television, which co-produced the original series.

The mysteries of Murder in a Small Town are usually secondary to Karl and Cassandra’s romance.

However, both will be front and center in Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 5. Spoilers indicate that Cassandra gets kidnapped by a crazed admirer, and it’s up to Gibson’s police department to save the day.

This will be the episode that truly puts their relationship to the test.
