Jason Ford's new UK horror 'Community' has reached your neighbourhood. The thriller is in post-production and from looking at the new trailers and teasers for the New Town Films production it seems a lot more than the usual anti-social behaviour is kicking off on the Drayman Estate. It's being described as 'The Wickerman for the Harry Brown generation' and is both helmed and written by filmmaker Ford. Jemma Dallender, Elliott Jordan, Paul McNeilly, Terry Bird and Oliver Stark all star and you can check out the new assets below....

The UK-based psychological horror film Community is nearly wrapped and ready to get your skin crawling. The trailers look slick with some interesting characters trapped in a morbid, deadly situation. This tale of the Drayman Estate urban legend is filled with drug addiction, murderous children and scenes of brutal violence. Sounds like a Gash family reunion.

Community definitely feels like a modern, urban version of Children of the Corn. The adults are doped out of their minds, and the kids are running rampant. No word yet if one of the characters is named Malachi or not, but if one is, be sure to watch Community with the lights on. The film is written and directed by Jason Ford.

28Dla's friends over at Quiet Earth have debuted a second trailer for Community courtesy of High Point Media. In the second clip there is more horror as a hybrid brand of marijuana changes parents into the lackadaisical and their children into killers. The latest movies from the United Kingdom that involve horror have tackled themes of youth run rampant. Eden Lake (2008), Harry Brown (2009) and the recent Attack the Block (2011) show the ills of urban living and the difficult choices therein.

Also, Community stars Elliott Jordan who set Cinemas in Bolton ablaze with another horror effort titled The Toybox. The Toybox was also shot in the United Kingdom and instead of drug dealing hoodies this film dealt with witches and ancient myths. Jordan continues to be one of the standouts in modern British horror with Darren Kent (The Incident) and Terry Bird also starring in Community. Enjoy the second trailer for the film inside.
