We're officially in The Wheel of Time pre-season marketing blitz. Last week, the series revived "#WOTWednesdays," a popular fan-favorite weekly event where the team behind the show reveals new announcements, images, behind-the-scenes looks and more to keep the hype building. Apple TV+ has unveiled the first official trailer for the eight-episode series “Prime Target,” enticing viewers with a conspiracy and the fate of the world.

Leo Woodall stars as Edward Brooks (“The White Lotus”), a gifted math postgraduate who is about to find a key breakthrough in prime number patterns. After Edwards runs into an Nsa agent, played by Quintessa Swindell (“Black Adam”), the two work together to uncover a troubling mystery as unseen enemies try to destroy Edward’s idea that could unlock the key to every computer.

The supporting cast includes Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng and Harry Lloyd, among others.

“Prime Target” is created by Steve Thompson (“Sherlock”), who also serves as executive producer. The first two episodes premiere Jan. 22 exclusively on Apple TV+ with the following episodes dropping weekly.

This is the third major casting announcement so far for season 3, following Shohreh Aghdashloo as the Aes Sedai Elaida and the royal family of Andor.

Adapted for television by executive producer and showrunner Rafe Judkins, and based on the novels by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time season 3 debuts globally on Prime Video on March 13 and will continue to examine the possibility that Rand (Josha Stradowski) could be corrupted by power. The actor brought daughters Filippa, 22, and Safina, 19, to celebrate the superhero film's debut in Los Angeles on June 12, marking a rare appearance for the trio. They posed together on the red carpet wearing casual-chic outfits - Nikolaj layered a chartreuse top under a gray plaid suit, Safina paired a beige jacket with gray pants, and Filippa wore a black long-sleeved dress with brown cowboy boots.
