Netflix and Shondaland just released the first official photo from The Residence, a murder mystery created by Paul William Davies (Scandal) and inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s novel. The eight-episode season premieres on March 20, 2025.

The streamer also released a first-look image of the “screwball whodunnit,” starring Uzo Aduba as detective Cordelia Cupp and Randall Park as FBI agent Edwin Park.

Paul William Davies serves as creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer of “The Residence,” which is also executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.

This past weekend, the second act of Arcane season 2 dropped on Netflix. Act I ended with Caitlyn (Katie Leung) becoming the de facto leader of Piltover's new military state, under the watchful guidance of the Noxian warmonger Ambessa Medarda (Ellen Thomas). Meanwhile, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) had a falling out with Caitlyn after their climactic duel with Jinx (Ella Purnell) and Sevika (Amirah Vann), which ended with Caitlyn going back up to Piltover and Vi disappearing into the heart of Zaun.

In Act 2 of Arcane Season 2 the Netflix series re-introduced Singed and confirmed a popular theory about his connection to a League of Legends champion.

Arcane is an animated adaptation of Riot Games' League of Legends online multiplayer game and brings many of the popular champions to life on-screen.

Arcane first introduced Singed (voiced by cast member Brett Tucker) in Season 1 as Silco's right-hand man and the scientist who helped him manufacture Shimmer. Singed was also known for the twisted experiments he ran on both humans and animals, none of which seemed to have an end goal until now.

And we know this because Netflix finally confirmed the release date for Arcane as part of its Geeked Week celebration this week! And not only that, the stream also revealed that Arcane will have something of an unconventional release schedule.

Arcane season 2 will release in three "Acts," which feels suitably dramatic and fitting for the final stretch of the series. But don't worry, you won't have to wait long between each one. Netflix has finally released a full trailer for the second season of its acclaimed animated steampunk sci-fi series, Arcane.

Good news for fans of the show, but we do also have some bad: Arcane will not return for a third season.

This doesn't mean that we won't see more stories set in the League of Legends universe, however.

Spartacus may be returning to Starz. The cable channel is developing a spinoff of the historical drama series with Spartacus co-creator Steven S. DeKnight. as showrunner The original series aired for four seasons and 39 episodes, between 2010 and 2013. Andy Whitfield played the title role in the first season and Liam McIntyre took over for the remaining two regular seasons, due to Whitfield's passing from cancer. A prequel season, which didn't focus on Spartacus, aired in 2011.

Also starring John Hannah, Manu Bennett, Jai Courtney, Peter Mensah, Nick E. It’s officially summertime, and while the livin’ may be easy, as George Gershwin once wrote, television is easing into the season with a slate filled with reruns.

ABC, CBS and NBC had their nights filled with repeats. In total viewership, a rerun of Blue Bloods on CBS eked out the night’s highest audience total with 2.69 million viewers.

WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown on Fox won the demo wars with an 0.5. The win comes slightly ahead of the July 4 weekend edition of its PPV extravaganza, Money In The Bank. That event streams live on Peacock this Saturday at 8 Pm Et.

The final spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match saw Madcap Moss beating Happy Corbin, Ezekiel, and The Miz. He’ll advance toward the chance at a WWE contract in the PPV.

Exclusive: Brett Tucker has joined the cast of Fox’s dance dramedy The Big Leap in a heavily recurring role. He will appear opposite stars Scott Foley, Simone Recanser, Teri Polo, Piper Perabo and Anna Grace Barlow. The series hails from Liz Heldens, Jason Winer, Sue Naegle, 20th Television and Fox Entertainment.

Written by Heldens and inspired by a UK reality format, The Big Leap is a show-within-a-show that takes viewers on a journey of self-acceptance, body-positivity and empowerment at any age. It’s described as a modern tale about second chances, chasing your dreams and taking back what’s yours. The show revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of Swan Lake.

The Big Leap is produced by 20th Television and Fox Entertainment. Heldens, Winer and Nagle serve as executive producers.

In Fremantle’s four-part drama Lie With Me, produced for Network 10 and Channel 5, a British woman Anna and her Australian husband Jake move back to Melbourne with their two small children. With Anna resuming her career, they hire a young live-in nanny to help. But local girl Becky is anything but the innocent stranger she pretends to be.

Starring Brett Tucker, Charlie Brooks and Phoebe Roberts, Lie With Me is a story of deception, following your instincts and what lengths you would go to in order to protect the ones you love.

Lie With Me is created by Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison, and is directed by Scott Major. Writers include Herbison, Anthony Ellis, and Margaret Wilson.

Premieres August 19 8.30pm on 10 And 10 Play.

The Australian TV drama production sector has virtually ground to a halt with multiple shows suspending shooting last Friday.

Jungle Entertainment and BBC Studios shut down the ABC-commissioned Wakefield, the eight-episode drama set in a Blue Mountains psychiatric hospital.

“The limitations we’ve put on our incredible cast and crew over the last two weeks have made shooting more and more difficult and it is now logistically impossible and unsafe to continue,” Jungle CEO Jason Burrows tells If.

“We’re lucky to have partners in the ABC, Screen Australia, Screen Nsw and BBC Studios who have been very supportive. I just hope the government will provide some financial relief to those in need in our team, and the wider industry, while they are out of work.”

A day after the ViacomCBS merger closed, the company’s international networks are already starting to work together. UK broadcaster Channel 5 and Australian broadcaster Network Ten have co-commissioned drama thriller Breathless.

The four-part series is produced by Fremantle and stars Station 19 star Brett Tucker and EastEnders star Charlie Brooks.

The show follows a British woman and her husband seeking a fresh start in Australia after infidelity rocks their marriage – that’s the plan until they hire a young local nanny who isn’t as innocent as she appears and there are deadly consequences.

Created by Neighbours and Home and Away writer Jason Herbison, who will exec produce, it was commissioned for Channel 5 by Greg Barnett and will start filming in Melbourne in 2020. It will be directed by Neighbours director Scott Major.

Fremantle will produce Breathless, a four-part thriller created by Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison for Network 10 and the UK’s Channel 5, using a production model designed as a precursor for more short-run dramas.

Directed by Scott Major, the miniseries will feature Aussie Brett Tucker and former EastEnders star Charlie Brooks as a couple in the UK who seek a fresh start in Australia after infidelity threatens their marriage.

That’s until they hire a nanny (yet to be cast), who isn’t as innocent as she appears and there are deadly consequences.

Cat's outta the bag for this Station 19 couple.  Vic (Barrett Doss) and Chief Ripley's (Brett Tucker) little secret (that they've been hooking up in secret for months) is now out, thanks to one talkative Grey's Anatomy doctor in the exclusive sneak peek above. Mosaic has hired veteran manager Tiffany Kuzon. She is coming from Primary Wave Entertainment where she was one of the company’s top talent managers.

“Historically, Mosaic has been built within but every once in awhile someone from outside gets our attention,” Mosaic principal Jimmy Miller said. “Tiffany is one of those people, and we are very excited for her to join us.”
