This past weekend, the second act of Arcane season 2 dropped on Netflix. Act I ended with Caitlyn (Katie Leung) becoming the de facto leader of Piltover's new military state, under the watchful guidance of the Noxian warmonger Ambessa Medarda (Ellen Thomas). Meanwhile, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) had a falling out with Caitlyn after their climactic duel with Jinx (Ella Purnell) and Sevika (Amirah Vann), which ended with Caitlyn going back up to Piltover and Vi disappearing into the heart of Zaun.
To top it all off, Jinx has now become a symbol to the people of Zaun, after her fight with Vi set off a series of colorful powder explosions which shot up through the ventilation system and covered the people and buildings of Piltover. Whether Jinx likes it or not, she's a symbol of resistance. That has some huge repercussions in Act II, as we see how the Zaunites are...

In Act 2 of Arcane Season 2 the Netflix series re-introduced Singed and confirmed a popular theory about his connection to a League of Legends champion.
Arcane is an animated adaptation of Riot Games' League of Legends online multiplayer game and brings many of the popular champions to life on-screen.
Arcane first introduced Singed (voiced by cast member Brett Tucker) in Season 1 as Silco's right-hand man and the scientist who helped him manufacture Shimmer. Singed was also known for the twisted experiments he ran on both humans and animals, none of which seemed to have an end goal until now.

The epic world of League of Legends is closing out one of its books with Arcane season 2. The Netflix show serves as an adaptation of the beloved Mmo video game franchise, chronicling the stories of Piltover, a utopian city, and its underworld counterpart Zaun, which consists of both those on the poorer side trying to survive in the world, as well as those with seedier intentions. The show primarily focuses on sisters Vi and Jinx as they find themselves on opposing ends of the brewing conflict between the two cities.
Arcane season 2, which is being split into three parts, picks up immediately from the cliffhanger season 1 ending, in which Jinx, now fully unhinged, fired a rocket on the Piltover council just as they were granting Zaun independence. Season 2's story will see this fully explode into a civil war between the two cities, with Jinx hailed as a hero in Zaun,...

Set in the League of Legends universe, Netflix's Arcane uses the multiplayer online battle arena video game's extensive lore and engrossing world to tell the story of sisters Vi (Hawkeye's Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Fallout's Ella Purnell). The Emmy Award-winning animated series chronicles the growing unrest that's boiling over between the wealthy city of Piltover and the oppressed undercity of Zaun. Soon enough, Vi and Jinx find themselves not just embroiled in the conflict, but on opposing sides of Arcane's war. In the wake of Arcane season 1's cliffhanger ending, viewers couldn't be more excited about new episodes.
Not only does the series boast a beautiful blend of stunning 2D and 3D animation, but Arcane also features memorable fight scenes that capture the frenetic energy of playing League of Legends. In just a few weeks, Netflix will drop new episodes of Arcane, its Emmy-winning animated series based on the League of Legends video game. The first season of Arcane released back in 2021 and made waves thanks to its well-developed characters, striking visual style, great soundtrack, and moving story about two sisters who found themselves on opposite sides of a class war between the aristocratic upper city of Piltover and the oppressed slums of Zaun. The first season pulled no punches, killing off a few important characters along the way and ending on a cliffhanger that may have spelled the end for even more after Jinx (Ella Purnell) fired a rocket directly into a room where Piltover's most powerful diplomats were debating the city's future.
The upcoming second season of Arcane will be its last; while other League of Legends shows will no doubt crop up thanks to Arcane's success,...

Station 19 deaths became a big part of the show. Station 19 is one of Greys Anatomys spinoffs, and like its parent show, it has a penchant for both killing off main characters and putting characters in near-death situations. It seems that since establishing the characters in the first season, the show hasn't been afraid of killing at least one major character nearly every season since season 2. The Station 19 deaths, though sad for the audience, add an element of realism to the show.
As a firefighter show, its natural that characters have been killed off throughout the run of Station 19, as the characters face death multiple times a season due to their jobs. However, while most characters have survived these deadly circumstances, there are some who were not as lucky and didnt make it to Station 19 season 6, which has been relatively tame in terms of loss. It's hard to believe, but we're just over a month away from the premiere of the second and final season of Arcane, Netflix's Emmy-winning animated series based on the League of Legends video game. And we know this because Netflix finally confirmed the release date for Arcane as part of its Geeked Week celebration this week! And not only that, the stream also revealed that Arcane will have something of an unconventional release schedule.
Arcane season 2 will release in three "Acts," which feels suitably dramatic and fitting for the final stretch of the series. But don't worry, you won't have to wait long between each one. All three Acts will drop during the month of November, so we'll still get the full journey in a reasonably compact amount of time. Here's the release schedule:

The Australian crime drama, Troppo, features an ensemble cast of talented and recognizable Australian actors, all led by American movie star, Thomas Jane. Troppo follows Ted Conkaffey, a former American cop who moved to Australia to escape some demons of his past. Set in Queensland, Troppo sees Ted working as a private investigator alongside his partner, Amanda Pharrell (Nicole Chamoun), a talented detective who has a dark history of her own. Together, the pair solve crimes around Crimson Lake, often bumping up against the police stationed there.
Like many shows set in Australia, Troppo puts the continent's unique location to good use. "Troppo" is Australian slang for, "going troppo", meaning "going mad" due to the unrelenting heat in Australia (via ABC) and that term comes into play often in Troppo, with characters often behaving angrily, irritably, and out of character. Season 2 premiered on July 5, 2024, and finished on August 24, 2024. This second...

After almost three years, we're finally coming up on the release date for the second and final season of Arcane, Netflix's Emmy Award-winning animated series based on the popular League of Legends video game. And you know it's getting close because the streamer has just released a shiny new trailer. Season 1 of Arcane ended with Jinx firing a rocket into a meeting of Piltover's leadership, while her sister Vi helplessly watched on in horror. We didn't see what happened next, but you can bet it wasn't good.
It was all but assured that Jinx's actions were going to shake up the dynamic between the aristocratic upper city and the slums of Zaun in a big way, and from this new trailer, it looks like that promise is coming true in spades. Watch:

The trailer for the second and final season of “Arcane” promises an explosive conclusion to the award-winning Netflix series.
The trailer for the final season teases the fallout from Jinx’s (Ella Purnell) attack at the end of Season 1. What comes after is clearly a war between the Piltover and the Nation of Zaun set up by Silco.
“You were right Cait, my sister is gone,” V (Hailee Steinfeld) says. “There’s only Jinx now.”
Watch the full trailer below.
The trailer is set to Ashnikko’s “Paint the Town Blue,” which is the first single from the show’s Season 2 soundtrack. Season 1’s earned praise when the show debuted back in 2021. The music plays over the two cities preparing for a war.
“Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind,” Ekko (Reed Shannon) says near the trailer’s end.

Amanda and Ted are back with the new season of Troppo. Six months have passed, and they are still together, solving a case in the town of Crimson Lake. Julian Naughton, who runs an organization called Family Tree to help people struggling with drug addiction, is found dead. Even more shocking, another body is discovered at the same crime scene named Erin. But that’s not all. Remember Brooke from last season? She was the reason Amanda went to prison, because she and Lauren (the girl Amanda killed) spiked Amanda’s drink, making her lose her mind and kill in fear. Brooke ends up dead too, and it seems the killer has some connection to Ted’s past. Just like last season, this one involves multiple simultaneous cases. We learned why Amanda was called a murderer last time. Now, we get to see what happened to Ted and why he’s been labeled a pedophile.

This July, beat the heat with the latest additions at Prime Video and Freevee!

But after the majority of the film load drops on July 1, don’t forget to head back to the services’ additions throughout the month, including Season 2 of the critically acclaimed “Troppo,” the new “Legally Blonde“-like comedy “Space Cadet,” and a new documentary from award-winning documentary filmmaker Dawn Porter,...

Netflix has finally released a full trailer for the second season of its acclaimed animated steampunk sci-fi series, Arcane.
Good news for fans of the show, but we do also have some bad: Arcane will not return for a third season.
This doesn't mean that we won't see more stories set in the League of Legends universe, however.
“Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” said co-creator Christian Linke in a statement. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ‘Arcane’ wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

Exclusive: Jake Borelli will be departing ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy after seven years on the show, including being a series regular for the past five seasons, Deadline has learned. According to sources, Borelli is in negotiations to return next season for several episodes to wrap up the story of his character, Levi Schmitt.
Amid overall decline in linear ratings, it has become common practice for broadcast networks to ask for financial concessions on long-running series, which naturally become pricier as they age. As a high-end drama series headed into its 21st season with a large cast, most of whom have been on the show for years, Grey’s is expensive. I hear its renewal — like many other broadcast shows’ these days — came with a budget cut.
That is impacting the cast, with established stars faced with a reduction of their episodic guarantees, which means that they may be in fewer episodes next year,...

It’s officially summertime, and while the livin’ may be easy, as George Gershwin once wrote, television is easing into the season with a slate filled with reruns.
ABC, CBS and NBC had their nights filled with repeats. In total viewership, a rerun of Blue Bloods on CBS eked out the night’s highest audience total with 2.69 million viewers.
WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown on Fox won the demo wars with an 0.5. The win comes slightly ahead of the July 4 weekend edition of its PPV extravaganza, Money In The Bank. That event streams live on Peacock this Saturday at 8 Pm Et.
The final spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match saw Madcap Moss beating Happy Corbin, Ezekiel, and The Miz. He’ll advance toward the chance at a WWE contract in the PPV.

The Australian TV drama production sector has virtually ground to a halt with multiple shows suspending shooting last Friday.
Jungle Entertainment and BBC Studios shut down the ABC-commissioned Wakefield, the eight-episode drama set in a Blue Mountains psychiatric hospital.
“The limitations we’ve put on our incredible cast and crew over the last two weeks have made shooting more and more difficult and it is now logistically impossible and unsafe to continue,” Jungle CEO Jason Burrows tells If.
“We’re lucky to have partners in the ABC, Screen Australia, Screen Nsw and BBC Studios who have been very supportive. I just hope the government will provide some financial relief to those in need in our team, and the wider industry, while they are out of work.”

Um, listen. We know how the Grey's Anatomy universe works. We've been here a while. So when its sister show, Station 19, started its crossover with Grey's by having its chief pass out, right after his secret coworker girlfriend had just proposed to him, we should have known what was coming. But somehow we didn't, and we assumed he'd be fine. Boy how wrong we were. Chief Ripley (Brett Tucker) passed out at a flower shop after bailing on saying yes to Vic (Barrett Doss) when she proposed, and he ended up at Grey Sloan Memorial. Maggie (Kelly McCreary) diagnosed him with not only an underlying heart condition, but also with exposure to a chemical. Everyone...

Cat's outta the bag for this Station 19 couple. Vic (Barrett Doss) and Chief Ripley's (Brett Tucker) little secret (that they've been hooking up in secret for months) is now out, thanks to one talkative Grey's Anatomy doctor in the exclusive sneak peek above. The two shows are crossing over this week when Ripley passes out while buying flowers and ends up at Grey Sloan Memorial, being treated by Schmitt (Jake Borelli), the doctor who just so happened to have witnessed him buying those flowers for someone named Vic. Cue the shocked faces of Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) and Ben (Jason George). Of course the bigger problem right now is that Ripley is lying in a hospital bed after passing out at...
