She is cousin of rapper Snoop Dogg. She is also a first cousin of music producer Daz Dillinger and singers Brandy Norwood and Ray J.

Is a big fan of anime. Her favorite is Sailor Moon (1995). She also wore a Sailor Moon inspired gear at Royal Rumble 2022.

Mercedes Varnado was the first entry of the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match. In the match she eliminated Vickie Guerrero, Bayley and Trish Stratus, lasting 54:46 before being eliminated by Nikki Garcia and Brie Garcia.

Her match against Bayley at NXT Takeover: Respect (2015) on October 7, 2015 was the first women's match to ever headline a major WWE event, also it was the first women's Iron Man match.

At Divas Dirt and Ring the Belle presents Women's Wrestling Year End Fan Awards 2020, Banks won 5 awards - Woman of the Year, Match of the year, feud of the year, tag team of the year, entrance of the year and entrance theme of the year.

On February 11, 2015 at NXT Takeover: Rival (2015), Banks won the NXT Women's Championship by pinning Charlotte in a fatal four-way match that also involved Becky Lynch and Bayley.

On July 25, 2016 at WWE Raw (1993), Banks submitting Charlotte to win the WWE Women's Championship. She won the title at the age of 24 and 181 days. Which makes her youngest RAW Women's champion of all time.

At WWE Elimination Chamber (2019), Sasha Banks & Bayley became 1st ever WWE Women's tag team champions.

At WWE Hell in a Cell (2020), Banks becomes the first Superstar to win the Raw Women's Title, Women's Tag Team Title and SmackDown Women's Title in one calendar year.

In 2020, Bayley and Sasha Banks won both Tag Team and Feud of the Year in the PWI Awards. No duo has ever done this. This also marks the first time two women were voted top tag team.

On the May 20, 2022 edition of SmackDown, WWE announced that both Sasha Banks, and Naomi were indefinitely suspended, and that the WWE Women's Tag Team titles were declared vacant.
