Herman Phillips began his career by founding a production company and working as a Line Producer on various projects including music videos for local artists, as well as training and industrial videos for global telecommunications companies. After working in Los Angeles every summer during college, he moved to the city full-time to pursue membership in the Directors Guild of America. He has worked as a Set Production Assistant in the Assistant Directors departments of blockbuster hits such as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Euphoria, Silicon Valley, and Insecure, among others.
In 2020, Herman co-founded Cinapse, a film and television production management software company that has been backed by top-tier investors including Neil Patrick Harris, Y Combinator, and members of the Directors Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA.
