- A group of old friends reunite for a weekend in a mountain cabin. Years have gone by, yet nothing seems to have changed among them. But lurking behind the laughter and stories is a murky episode from the past the continues to haunt them. A strange, sudden incident alters their plans, leaving them stranded with no line of communication to the outside world. On their way for help, the group starts to disintegrate, just as a new natural order is unveiled before their astonished eyes.
- Angel, an exterminator recently released from a mental hospital, comes to rid a small Spanish town of tiny grubs in the soil. The local wine-making industry has found these pests responsible for giving their product an "earthy" taste that has divided local opinion. While in town, Angel becomes involved with two beautiful and very different women, and impacts their lives on a grand scale. Can either of these women accept the fact that Angel travels with a "ghost" of himself, or that he routinely speaks with the deceased townspeople?
- Sergi Roca, owner of the twelve-Michelin-starred Cool Roca restaurant in Barcelona, is a world famous chef who has it all. Pepe Leal, on the other hand, is the down-on-his-luck owner of El Chiringuito de Pepe, a beach-side greasy spoon in the town of Peñiscola. What could these two possibly have in common? As it turns out, Sergi's father confesses during an illness that his estranged childhood friend Pepe is in fact Sergi's real father, but knows nothing of it. Wanting to make up for stealing the Italian woman his former pal loved and for hiding the truth about their son, he asks Sergi to go to Peñiscola to revive the eatery, which has been in Pepe's family for generations. Puzzled and needing to know his true roots, Sergi moves to Peñiscola where he buys into the restaurant, claiming that he wants a new challenge, but without revealing to Pepe, or Pepe's son Vicente, the real reason. At the same time, Sergi's ex-wife sends their son Manu to spend time with him there -- a boy Sergi barely knows. The series follows Sergi as he works to turn the business around and, in the process, discovers his family.
- The frustration and vital weariness of Michel des Assantes, a prestigious plastic surgeon in Paris, is unbearable: he has a wife whom he does not love, a son who is foreign to him and friends whom he despises but, at the same time, he is incapable of taking his own life. One day, he buys a bike from a bizarre cyclist who was to make the Paris-Timbuktu route and sets out to make the journey: then, Timbuktu becomes for him the Promised Land.

Oblivious to their guest's eminence, local residents spend their time engaged in their modest daily chores. The affable Professor Hamilton not only integrates perfectly into the small town, forging deep friendships with his neighbors, but he might also be finding the happiness he craves.
- Private detective Inés infiltrates the employees at a multinational corporation. Thanks to the collaboration of Manuel, she gets to the heart of company intrigues. But her investigation brings her face to face with a difficult emotional and ethical decision. Eva, just back from maternity leave, is juggling work and family obligations when she discovers that her partner Iñaki is hiding something fundamental to their future as a couple. Carmen, the most experienced of the three, observes and tapes Sergio's marital collapse but can't see her own marriage is dead. While working at the detective agency run by Valbuena, these three surveillance specialists often invade others' privacy but are clueless about confronting their own secrets. All three will have to cross the thin line dividing public and private matters, bringing their own issues to light in order to solve more than just their professional cases.
