In the first bar scene, Popeye Doyle eats an egg that changes from partially eaten to whole again and back again while he tries to talk to the French girls.

During the first bar scene, Popeye Doyle's drink goes from a small shot to a nearly full glass and back again during his attempted conversation with the French bartender.

In the beginning of the movie, when Doyle arrives with his suitcases at the dock, a girl in a flowered dress and a boy in a yellow shirt run past him towards his right-hand side. In the next shot, when we see Doyle from the front, the same girl and boy are climbing up on a fence on his left-hand side.

After Doyle is dumped in front of the Police Station and the Dr.'s, & Police are working on him & administering first aid you see a Dr., incubate him with a white incubation tube, you see the Dr., remove the tape holding his mouth and he removes the tube, its has been shortened to half an inch from the 3 or 4 inches it was when he was originally incubated. And they insert a stomach pump tube.

While Doyle & Henry are drinking Cognac in the jail cell, Doyle says he was trying out for the NY Yankees on their Farm Team, he met a shortstop that was a great player and fast and could hit the ball. The fact was his Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees as a center fielder, right fielder, and first baseman.

After Doyle wakes up after being treated by the Dr.'s Henry gives him a bottle to drink It appears to take big gulps, But when Henry pulls it away the bottle is still full.

At the beginning of the film, Jacques (played by Philippe Léotard) drives an American spec Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W 116) sedan with extended bumpers and twin headlights rather than the European model one would expect him to own. The car makes another appearance later in the film when Charnier (played by Fernando Rey) is chauffeured in it.
