- The Japanese DVD blurs over the scene of Willie Aames' full frontal nudity.
- The "Theme from Paradise," which originally appeared in two scenes, has been replaced with original score cues by the film's composer Paul Hoffert on the 2006 Spanish DVD (issued by Universal) and on current U.S. premium cable airings. The end credits, which originally featured "Paradise" sung by Phoebe Cates, now have an instrumental cue by Hoffert. The first skinny-dipping scene, which featured an instrumental version of "Paradise" now has another Hoffert cue in its place.
- The 1983 UK VHS release from Embassy Home Entertainment is quite heavily cut. The VHS packaging lists its runtime at 100 minute but the film runs exactly the same as the 90 minute 2006 DVD release from StudioCanal/Universal, except that both sex scenes have been drastically reduced and last only a matter of seconds. However, the BBFC website lists that there were no cuts made by them when it was submitted for classification, which it got a 15. So it appears that Embassy made these cuts themselves, for which reasons are unknown.
- The theatrical and original home video versions of this film both ran for 100 min. However, the MGM MovieTime release only runs for 96 min.
