When Nick and Tom first meet Ralph, they are headed in opposite directions, but going to the same place. Nick and Tom get into Ralph's truck and head back the way they came from, yet they are all allegedly headed to Nebraska.

Harold flies off the front of his motorbike long before the bike hits the railing.

The bottle of Pepto Bismol that Nick sets on the bench disappears when Tom stands up.

When Stu opens of the elevator doors in the CDC, the symbol on the door frame reveals that he's on the second floor. Moments later he goes down two flights of stairs and tries to open the stair entrance to the second floor.

Ray Booth and the bullies attack Nick on the road, knocking his hat off. When Nick fights back, his hat reappears briefly. They may have been trying to cover the stunt double's face and hair.

According to the card in Fran's baby's cradle, the baby's head is 29 inches around, and her chest is 30 inches. The average newborns' head is 14 inches around; the average adult's head is 22.5 inches. The measurements were most likely in centimeters; 29 cm = 11.4 inches, and 30 cm = 11.8 inches.

When Larry Underwood pulls up in his car to his mother's house, his California license plate clearly reads "Digyoman". California license plates of the era had a maximum of 7 characters.

The monster shouter was killed while Flagg is in Missouri, yet Larry found him dead on the steps in Central Park; as one submitter put it, "the guy is evil personified, he can do whatever he wants."

When Tom Cullen says, "M-O-O-N! That spells 'deaf and dumb'!", he adds an extra "O".

When the Free Zone Committee meets for the barbecue, blooms are on the trees in the background, a sign of spring. The meeting is supposed to take place in late August, long after the blossoms would've dropped off.

When Trashcan Man reaches Las Vegas, he enters Randall Flagg's base, the Union Plaza Casino. The table he falls asleep on is at the Stardust Casino. He covers the label with his hands, but it's still visible.

After Stu knocks down the doctor and picks up the gun, he leaves the observation room. The cameraman is reflected in the observation door window.

When Stu runs down the stairs, just before he meets the dying doctor, the shadow of the cameraman running after Stu appears on the wall ahead.

Trashcan Man blows up a refinery in Powtanville, Indiana. Most long shots include tall, snow-capped mountains, which are nowhere near Indiana.

Street scenes set in Pratt, Kansas were obviously not filmed there. Pratt has no mid-block crosswalks, and none of the buildings or second stories are authentic. Also, the highway 50 miles west of Pratt has been flat for years, so there should be no downhill scenes.

The Free Zone Committee is barbecuing hamburgers while they are discussing sending spies to Las Vegas. This is two months after Captain Tripps kills the world. All of the beef would be rotten just 3 days after the power failed and all of the cattle would have starved to death long before the barbecue.

In Green River when Tom is trying to feed Stu, Tom offers a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is a two months after all power had gone out and food would have gone bad, so there would not be any fresh bread available that was not moldy to make a sandwich out of.

A boom mic muffler is briefly visible when Nick and Julie go back to Tom on the bench.

The boom's shadow is visible on the steps of Nadine's house in Boulder.

When Stu breaks his leg, a boom mic is reflected in the rear quarter window of the green Malibu at the base of the valley.

Larry tells his mother that his album isn't on the Hot 100 yet. The Billboard Hot 100 is a song chart; the album chart is the Top 200.
