The Krayt dragon makes the same sound that Obi-Wan Kenobi uses to scare off the Tusken Raiders in order to save Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977).
One of the Tuskens is played by an actual deaf actor, who helped create the Tusken Sign Language.
The Tusken Raiders travel in single file, leaving a single set of footprints. This is in line with what Obi-Wan says they do in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). A simple method of concealing their numbers.
Peli Motto's R5 unit is the same one that was almost bought by Owen Lars in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), as noted by the scorch marks around the bad motivator on the back of its dome. This droid, R5-D4, was also seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Chapter 5: The Gunslinger (2019) and many years earlier roaming the streets of Mos Espa in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002).
In the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003), a quest on Tatooine is the hunt of a Krayt dragon. Many details in this episode (the explosives, the Bantha for bait, the pearl) make reference to this quest.
