Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels are twin siblings whose summer with their dad turns into a nightmare in Goosebumps: The Vanishing. The live-action TV series based on the Goosebumps books written by R.L. Stine that was released through the Disney+ and Hulu streaming services last October (read our review Here) drew inspiration from five of Stine’s Goosebumps stories. More Stine stories will be brought to the screen in Goosebumps season 2 – and now we know when the season is going to premiere! A short teaser has dropped online to reveal that the new season is called Goosebumps: The Vanishing, and poster art has confirmed a January 10 premiere date.

The imagery also makes it look like Goosebumps: The Vanishing has some kind of Venom tie-in, but that’s not the case.

The first season of Goosebumps centered on a group of five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle — while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past.

The main stars of America’s Got Talent have remained mostly constant. While there have been some changes, like Sofia Vergara not participating in the Fantasy League season, the four judges and host, Terry Crews, have been there for a few seasons without a break. The Disney+ series “Goosebumps” is coming back for a brand new second season that will feature a new cast, new setting, and new story, and more casting has been announced.

Deadline reports today, “Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me) and Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle) are fraternal twins Devin and Cece, respectively; Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay) is Cj; Galilea La Salvia (Party Down) is Frankie; and Francesca Noel (R#J) is Alex.”

Previously announced, David Schwimmer (“American Crime Story”) and Ana Ortiz (Monster High 2) will also star in “Goosebumps” Season 2. Deadline notes, “Schwimmer plays the character of Anthony, father of twins Devin and Cece who are visiting dad for the summer.”

The Disney+ series is of course based on R.L. Stine’s iconic series of books.

The second season of Goosebumps at Disney+ has cast David Schwimmer in a lead role.

The Emmy-nominated Friends star will head the cast of the show, based on R.L. Stine’s hugely popular series of books. Disney+ renewed Goosebumps for a second season in February, opting to turn the show into an anthology rather than continuing the story from season one.

Following Schwimmer’s casting, Disney+ announced that Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Love Victor), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me), Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle), Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay), Galilea La Salvia (Party Down) and Francesca Noel have also joined the series.

Roku’s popular docuseries Side Hustlers will be back for another go-round. The streaming platform has renewed the series for a second season following a strong Season 1 launch, with hosts Emma Grede and Ashley Graham set to return.

During its opening weekend, Side Hustlers, which hails from Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, and Ally Financial, was the #1 on-demand title on The Roku Channel, according to the streamer.

The docuseries follows ambitious female entrepreneurs vying for the chance to build multi-million dollar companies, while juggling the demands of their personal lives and day jobs. Season two will introduce a new group of female entrepreneurs and small business owners, seeking life-changing advice and investments from mentors Grede and Graham.

Exclusive: Mike Caron, director of Nickelodeon’s Danger Force and Paramount+’s Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder, is branching out on his own.

Caron has launched his own production company Mike Caron Productions and has set a small-screen adaptation of mystery series Monster Kid Detective Squad as one of his first projects.

He is looking to develop projects in the family space.

Monster Kid Detective Squad is set in Frightsville and follows characters such as Elsie Frankenstein, a super-strong young monster, Sherry Dracula is a young, headstrong vampire and Rico Gillman, a young sea monster.

The book series is written by Jason Henderson and In Churl Yo and published by Castle Bridge Media. Caron has brought on Bunheads duo Grant Levy and Dominik Rothbard to adapt the series with him.

Caron has worked on over 500 episodes of television including directing Danger Force, in which he also occasionally appears as the villain Deuce Van Nuys.

Exclusive: Disney is reuniting with longtime former VP Original Series Kory Lunsford with a new comedy series and a first-look deal. The company has picked up to series Pretty Freekin Scary, a multi-camera sitcom based on the popular books, from CakeStart Entertainment, where Lunsford serves as president and partner, and Cloudco Entertainment. Lunsford left Disney after nearly 20 years in May 2021 to join the newly formed CakeStart.

Production is underway on the series, the first to be greenlit under a first-look development deal between CakeStart and Disney. The 20-episode first season is slated to debut in summer 2023 on Disney Channel and Disney+.

David A. Arnold, the much-loved stand-up comedian who was the creator and showrunner of the Nickelodeon series That Girl Lay Lay, has died. He was 54.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our husband, father, brother and friend, David A. Arnold,” his family said in a statement Wednesday. “David passed away peacefully today in his home and doctors have ruled the cause of death due to natural causes. Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.”

In a TV Insider interview, NCIS‘s Valderrama said on the red carpet even though he’s having a jam-packed year between starring in the CBS crime procedural’s new season and preparing for the titular role on the ABC reboot of Zorro, the Miami-born actor has not ruled out squeezing some time in to reprise his character, the fan-favorite Fez, on That ’90s Show, if time permits.

“I’m a little busy now, but I support them so much. I’m rooting for them. I wish them nothing but the best,” Valderrama said.

Exclusive: Social media phenom Noah Beck is set to make his feature acting debut in The Qb Bad Boy and Me, an upcoming romantic comedy produced by Creator+ and Wattpad Webtoon Studios.

The film is based Tay Marley’s Wattpad novel of the same name, which has registered over 30 million reads on the digital platform, and in published form has come in as one of Wattpad Books’ top-selling titles. It centers on Dallas Bryan, a high school cheerleader impassioned by the art of dance who hopes to use it as a means of escaping her sleepy small town. Bryan has her sights on a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing—or no one—is going to stand in her way. That is… until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck), crashes into her life.

Timmy Turner was an average kid that no one understood. Now, in the first trailer for “The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder,” we get to meet some other members of his family.

The new series, set to hit Paramount+ at the end of March, focuses on Timmy’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall), and her new stepbrother, Roy Raskin (Tyler Wladis), as they navigate life in Dimmsdale with the help of the wacky fairies we know and love: Cosmo and Wanda.

Timmy himself will make an appearance in order to gift Cosmo and Wanda to the kids. And yes, he’s still wearing his classic pink hat. But, in place of his pink shirt, he’s wearing a Princeton sweatshirt — which might surprise fans of the original series, considering his relationship with school.

Netflix has assembled the young series regular cast of That ’90s Show, a follow-up to hit sitcom That ’70s Show.

The new group of six teenage friends in Point Place, Wisconsin is led by Leia Forman, daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) from the original series. Callie Haverda (Shut Eye) is set to play Leia, with Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence), Mace Coronel (Colin in Black & White), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables), Reyn Doi (Side Hustle) and Sam Morelos cast as new teen characters opposite fellow series regulars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp who are reprising their That ’70s Show roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman, respectively.

I hear other That ’70s Show cast members, including Grace, Prepon, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher, are in negotiations to recur in the spinoff, which has a 10-episode order.

“That ’90s Show,” the Netflix spinoff of “That ’70s Show,” has set its cast of new Point Place teenagers, Variety has learned.

Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos have all joined the show as series regulars. They will star alongside previously announced cast members and returning original series stars Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith.

As previously announced, the show centers on Leia Forman (Haverda), the daughter of Eric and Donna. She is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitt (Rupp) and the stern glare of Red (Smith).

Exclusive: Nickelodeon has renewed buddy comedy Side Hustle for a 20 episode second season. The series returns with new episodes of its debut season beginning Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. Et/Pt leading into the season two premiere on Saturday, Oct. 2.

A teaser from the season 2 debut titled “Model Employees” (above) reveals friends Lex (Jules LeBlanc), Presley (Jayden Bartels), and Munchy (Isaiah Crews) have taken a job as models during the town’s fashion week.

Assuming that they were hired to be in the fashion show itself, they soon learn that the job is actually to be toy model builders and not runway models like they thought. Disappointed by the job they were hired to do, the kids must figure out a way to get into the real fashion show.

Deadline previously revealed Noah Beck from AwesomenessTV’s Noah Beck Tries Things will make his acting debut in Side Hustle‘s second season.

AwesomenessTV said Tuesday that it has ordered a second season of Noah Beck Tries Things, the reality docuseries fronted by TikTok star Noah Beck. The ViacomCBS-owned label said new episodes will premiere in October on AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel.

Beck also co-developed and executive produces the series, which debuted as AwesomenessTV’s No. 1 show of 2021. Season 1 followed Beck on the heels of his move to Los Angeles to be a full-time content creator, attempting things like rapping, cooking, and dancing with guests including his girlfriend Dixie D’Amelio.

Season 2 will see him returning to try new activities and professions, with guest appearances including by creators Blake Gray, Bryant Eslava, Curtis Newbill, Markell Washington, Wisdom Kaye, Kelianne Stankus, and Chase Mattson.

Beck is also set to make a guest appearance in Side Hustle, marking his first TV acting role ever.

There may not be a more iconic opening in the modern animation landscape than that of SpongeBob SquarePants. Only one cartoon jingle is bold enough to ask questions like “who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?” and demand to know if “nautical nonsense be something you wish.”

The show open for SpongeBob SquarePants’ second spinoff, The Patrick Star Show, has a lot to live up to then. It’s unlikely to be as infamous and influential as its forefather’s opening (because what could be?) but that doesn’t mean it can’t have some fun on its own. Nickelodeon wants more of its live-action programming. The cable channel has renewed Danger Force, the Henry Danger spin-off, for a second season of 26 episodes. Tyler Perry's Young Dylan series (above) has also been renewed for a second season with a 20 episode order. Meanwhile, Nickelodeon has ordered six additional installments for the Side Hustle series which brings that show's first season tally to 26 episodes. The first seasons of all three shows are currently airing on Saturday nights.

Nickelodeon stopped making original episodes of the iconic series in 2004, but will re-launch the program in 2021, reuniting many of the actors who gave the toddlers at the center of the series voice and adding a wide array of new actors to many of their parents. “It’s an enormous responsibility. It’s such a beloved franchise,” says Brian Robbins, president of ViacomCBS’ Nickelodeon, in an interview. “We have a lot of the original creative team back including the voice cast of all the babies. That’s exciting and that’s a giant stamp of approval.”

Nickelodeon has ordered a second season of “Nickelodeon’s Unfiltered” and an additional seven episodes of the live-action comedy “Side Hustle,” a sign that both series have served to attract young audiences as many kids and families are staying closer to home.

The ViacomCBS unit said the second season of “Unfiltered” will debut this evening at 7 p.m. The program is hosted by actor and comedian Jay Pharoah and includes Lex Lumpkin and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, two members of the cast of the network’s “All That” sketch-comedy show as panelists along with “America’s Got Talent” winner Darci Lynne. The trio tries to determine the identities of celebrity guests disguised by a 3D filter and voice changer.
