- The Mandalorian braves high seas and meets unexpected allies.
- Continuing the search for other Mandalorians, Din and The Child find themselves on the estuary moon of Trask in the Arkanis Sector, a world mostly covered by oceans, where they are to drop off their passenger, The Frog Lady. After a short time on the moon, they find themselves in the company of unexpected allies, and learn there may be more than one Way.
- With the extensive hull damage to Razor Crest, the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal), the child and the Frog Lady (Misty Rosas) limp back to the estuary moon of Trask. Even with the help of Frog Lady (Misty Rosas), Mando struggles to land the severely-damaged Razor Crest. And just when Mando thinks he had everything until control, the Razor Crest falls sideways into the water. After Razor crest is fished out of the water, Mando asks a Trask dock worker if he can fix it, to which he replies in the negative but says that he might just be able to make it fly.
The Frog Lady is finally reunited with her husband, Frog Man (John Cameron). The Frog man thanks Mando and directs him to a local inn where he's told by the Frog Man he'll find information on the other Mandalorians he's been looking for. The child is finally served some food at the inn but his food turns out to be alive and that surprises him, but Mando isn't bothered and tells him to stop playing with his food. The server finds a man who can help Mando, a guy called Quarren whose face looks like an octopus, and the two set out to sail after Quarren says he's seen some Mandalorians two hours away by boat.
En route, while feeding a giant sea animal called mamacore, Quarren flings Baby Yoda into the water. The mamacore gobbles him up, though the Child shuts himself in his cradle before he's swallowed whole. Mando jumps in after him and then Quarren and his men shut the steel gates and try to drown Mando. While Mando fights for his life, the other Mandalorians he has been looking for show up on the ship and rescue both the child and him while killing Quarren and his men.
But the meeting with these Mandalorians takes a very different turn after the three new Mandalorians take off their helmets. This goes against everything our Mando has been told and so he questions them on how they obtained their armor. In response, their leader Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) reveals she was not only born on Mandalore but also fought in the Purge. And the armor she's sporting has been part of her family for three generations. She also reveals that Mando is a Child of the Watch, a cult of religious zealots that broke away from Mandalorian society with the goal of re-establishing "the ancient way". Mando is taken aback, declares there's only one way, and promptly flies away. Bo Katan and her teammates Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) and Axe Woves (Simon Kassianides) then destroy the ship and fly away as well.
But after he runs into trouble again at night on the harbor with Quarren's brother, and needs rescuing again by Bo-Katan and Co., Mando agrees to sit down with them for a drink. Bo-Katan tells him that Trask is a black-market port where people are making money out of selling things plundered from Mandalore. Bo-Katan is trying to take back their home planet which Mando believes is cursed. But Bo Katan tells him that he shouldn't exactly trust what he's been told anymore about Mandalore and that she needs weapons and equipment to do so. Mando says that's not his mission and that he needs to find the Jedi to hand over the child to them. Bo-Katan says she knows one but first, he has to help them with a mission of their own: take on an Imperial Gozanti freighter.
After leaving the child with the Frog couple, Mando and the three mandalorians make short work of the stormtroopers on board the freighter. Mando's able to display his courage and the strength of his beskar armor as he charges into a bunch of stormtroopers that have them pinned down at a moment of need. Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) appears via hologram to instruct the freighter's commander (Titus Welliver) to sacrifice himself for the greater good, in order to prevent the weapons from falling into the Mandalorians' hands, but Mando and the others get there in time to stop him from crashing into the water.
Bo-Katan interrogates the commander (Welliver) to tell her who has the Darksaber is in exchange for his life, but he kills himself knowing that Moff Gideon would never let him live if he revealed that. Bo-Katan asks Mando to stay but he says he must continue on his mission. And as promised, for his help, Bo-Katan tells him to find a Jedi called Ahsoka Tano in the city of Calodan on the forest planet of Corvus. Mando then collects the child back from the Frog couple and sets out for Corvus in his partially repaired but still in bad shape Razor Crest.
