Despite retroactively voicing Boba Fett in the original trilogy, this is the first time Temuera Morrison has worn Boba Fett's iconic green armor on screen.
Boba quotes his father Jango (also played by Temuera Morrison)'s words from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002): "I'm just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe." During the release of that film, this line was heavily used in promotion material featuring Jango Fett.
Temuera Morrison previously provided the voice of Boba Fett for the 2004 DVD release of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980), replacing the original voice actor, Jason Wingreen. Morrison is one of three prequel actors who were retroactively included in this version of the original trilogy, the others being Hayden Christensen in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) and Ian McDiarmid in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980).
In battle, Boba Fett uses a Gaderffii (or Gaffi stick), the traditional melee weapon of the Tusken Raiders on Tatooine.
Boba Fett is seen using many of his armor's gadgets, including the missile launcher, wrist mounted blaster, and knee-pad rocket darts. The use of many of theses gadgets was first explored in non-canonical Legends materials, like comics, source and reference books, novels, video games, and cartoons. While they've seen similar use in canon material since 2014, this marks his first use of them on screen.
