The March issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine has published the last chapter of Imaru Adachi’s manga adaptation of Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway.

This wraps up the story based on Shimesaba’s light novel series, with the 13th and final manga volume set to release on March 24.

The story follows Yoshida, a regular office worker who drinks his troubles away. One night, he meets a runaway high school girl who offers to sleep with him in exchange for a place to stay. Instead of accepting her offer, Yoshida gives her a safe home and work. The unlikely relationship between these two is at the heart of this unique rom-com.

This TV anime has announced its premiere in July 2022. Studio Project No.9 (Higehiro) is in charge of the animation, with Shinsuke Yanagi (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki) as the director and Deko Akao (Mysterious Girlfriend X) writing the series composition. My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex is a Japanese light novel series by Kyosuke Kamishiro, with Takayaki’s illustrations. Kadokawa Shoten began its serialisation in December 2018, and it currently has 8 volumes in circulation.
