As part of it's commitment to rising stars, the Young Artist Academy aims to educate young members to meet legal codes and legislation for their own safety. The Young Artist Academy is the only youth awards show in Hollywood that carries a Krekorian Talent Bond, in compliance with the California Advance Fee Talent Service Law. Monthly, the Academy reminds it's members that California law requires publicists, managers, acting coaches, and headshot photoghers who work with child actors to obtain a Child Performer Services Permit, and to be thorough in insisting on such protective procedures when making new Industry Connections.
The Young Artist Academy is the only youth awards structured the same as major Hollywood awards show organizations. As members of the Academy, young performers develop understanding and aptitude in the Entertainment Industry, in preparation to fully participate in the larger awards shows upon eligibility.
The Covid-19 pandemic caused the Young Artist Academy to produce its 42nd Awards Show as a virtual event.
