“The Penguin” series at HBO Max has added Michael Zegen, James Madio, and Scott Cohen to its cast in recurring roles, Variety has learned exclusively.

The three join a cast that includes series lead Colin Farrell, who will reprise the role of Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot from “The Batman, as well as Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Clancy Brown.

HBO Max is not releasing character details for three new additions, but sources say that Zegen is set to play Alberto Falcone.

Alberto is the son of Gotham City crime boss Carmine Falcone, who was played by John Turturro in “The Batman,” and the brother of Sofia Falcone, who will be played by Milioti in “The Penguin.” In the comics, Alberto takes credit for being the serial killer known as The Holiday Killer, who targets Gotham gangsters on a holiday each month.

Mehcad Brooks is ready to change Law & Order.

The former Supergirl star, who will play a still-unnamed detective for the show’s upcoming Season 22, has shared his powerful thoughts on the role.

On his Instagram feed, Brooks posted a lengthy discussion on his own poor experiences with the police over the years and how that shaped much of his life.

He’s thus looking forward to addressing those changes with his new role in Law & Order. Brooks shared how the experience is shifting his own views on the police.

The actor’s words indicate his character will have a different attitude than past Law & Order detectives and the show will address some major issues regarding police conduct.

This preview, including a photo of Brooks in costume, hints that he’ll be shaking up the show majorly in Season 22.

Before CBS’ NCIS: New Orleans wraps its seven-season run this spring, Special Agent Dwayne Pride will get a blast from his past when Callie Thorne puts in a final encore as the enigmatic Sasha Broussard, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Introduced in the Season 1 episode “Baitfish,” Sasha was initially seen as the “good one” in the New Orleans-based Broussard crime family. But over time and two more Season 1 appearances, it became clear she was to be reckoned with as well, as she proved to be a recurring thorn in Pride’s (played by Scott Bakula) side.

Mick Betancourt has been brought in as executive producer and co-showrunner of Syfy’s upcoming series Deadly Class, based on the critically acclaimed Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig. It is slated to premiere in 2019.

Adapted for television by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, Deadly Class hails from The Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable Productions.

Betancourt joins Remender and Feldsott as executive producer and the three will share showrunner duties. He replaces Adam Targum (Banshee) who served in the same capacity on the pilot.

Mick Betancourt has signed on as executive producer and co-showrunner on Syfy’s upcoming series adaptation of the graphic novel “Deadly Class.”

He will share showrunning duties with fellow executive producers Rick Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott. Remender wrote the original graphic novel and worked with Feldsott to adapt it for TV. The trio takes over from Adam Targum, who served as showrunner on the pilot.

Betancourt was most recently a co-executive producer and writer on Fox’s limited series “Shots Fired.” His other credits include “Chicago Pd” and “Chicago Fire,” “Necessary Roughness,” and “Law & Order: Svu.”

He is repped by UTA, Artists First, and Jackoway Tyerman.

Another big-swing Syfy drama has changed showrunners ahead of its debut.

Deadly Class, based on the Image Comics graphic novel of the same name, has replaced showrunner Adam Targum with Mick Betancourt ahead of the show's premiere.

Targum served as showrunner on the drama, a co-production between Sony Pictures Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions, from its development through pilot. The drama was picked up to series with Targum (Banshee) still attached. He has now parted ways with the series after creative differences with Syfy, sources say.

Supergirl's Mehcad Brooks says that his groundbreaking role as the first African American to play Superman's best friend goes to show that, with hard work, anything is possible.

"It gives me hope," he told The Real's co-hosts on Monday of booking the part of Jimmy Olsen. "When I got the call that I got the role, I was really hopeful because I think that it shows that in this country if you work hard that … you can achieve anything."

In the CBS series, the 35-year-old actor plays Superman's photographer friend, a staple of the DC Comics Superman series who is traditionally portrayed as white.

CBS has cast Necessary Roughness actor Mehcad Brooks to co-star alongside Glee's Melissa Benoist in their adaptation of DC Comics' Supergirl. Melissa Benoist will play the title character, Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped its destruction years ago.

Kara was taken in by a foster family who taught her to be careful with her powers. Now that she's 24, unexpected disaster forces her to use her powers in public and she decides to begin embracing those extraordinary abilities.

In this take, Olsen is a photographer at CatCo., where Kara works and is her workplace crush. Olsen has recently been living and working in National City though the reason is a secret. As Kara emerges as Supergirl, they grow closer.

Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler will pen the script and executive produce the drama series.

Fox has announced plans for "Two Black Cadillacs," a six-hour limited event series based on the Carrie Underwood song of the same name from her 2012 album "Blown Away".

Penned by Ildy Modrovich ("Necessary Roughness"), the story explores a murderous love triangle in the modern South. Much like the music video, it essentially involves a wife and a mistress realising they are involved with the same guy and conspire to kill him.

Underwood, Hillary Lindsey and Josh Kear penned the series, while Underwood and Bruckheimer will executive produce the project.
