Singer Sabrina Carpenter was seen out on a date with Irish actor Barry Keoghan just a week after her music video led to a scandal in the Catholic Church.

The Diocese of Brooklyn was horrified at the music video Carpenter filmed in a 160-year-old Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Released in time for Halloween, the bloody music video to the single “Feather” was directed by Mia Barnes and begins with interior shots of the 19th-century Catholic Church. Through the song, the camera follows Carpenter around as men harass her – and are met with instant karma.

As Carpenter sings lyrics like, “I feel so much lighter like a feather with you off my mind,” cat-callers are run over by a truck, gym bros fight each other to the death and a creepy photographer dies in an elevator shaft.

The TV season doesn’t even begin for another two weeks, but CBS is already looking ahead to next year, handing out a pilot production commitment to a multi-camera project, “Fun.”

The project, from “2 Broke Girls” creator Michael Patrick King, stars Becki Newton and Michael Urie as a brother-sister duo who run the family business: a funeral home. The project hails from Warner Bros. TV and Mpk Productions, with King, Tracey Proust and Jon Kinnally as executive producers.

“Fun” reunited Urie and Newton, who starred on ABC’s comedy “Ugly Betty” which ran for four seasons from 2007 -2010. Newton played Amanda Tanen, while Urie was Marc St. James. Newton is also known for her role as Quinn Garvey on “How I Met Your Mother” and also starred in Fox’s short-lived “The Goodwin Games.”

ABC is developing a comedy series based on Sara Saedi’s memoir “Americanized,” Variety has learned.

The single-camera series, which will be executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, tells the story of a loving and off-beat Iranian family who’s been living with a huge secret: they’re undocumented immigrants. It is described as a window into the life of a Middle-Eastern household while exploring the universal truths that bond every type of “American” family.

Saedi will pen the series in addition to executive producing. Witherspoon and Lauren Levy Neustadter will executive produce via Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine banner. ABC Studios will produce.

In addition to writing “Americanized,” Saedi has previously written for shows such as “iZombie” at The CW and “The Goodwin Games” at Fox. She is repped by Gersh, Nacelle Company, and Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal Laviolette Feldman Schenkman & Goodman.

This marks the first broadcast project Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine have set up.

ABC has put in development Americanized, a half-hour comedy inspired by Sara Saedi’s memoir Americanized: Rebel Without A Green Card, from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and ABC Studios, where Hello Sunshine has a broadcast overall deal.

Written by Saedi (iZombie), Americanized tells the story of a loving and off-beat Iranian family who’s been living with a huge secret: they’re undocumented immigrants. Told through an irreverent, heartfelt and a-political lens, the series will give viewers a window into the life of a Middle-Eastern household while exploring the universal truths that bond every type of “American” family.

Weird Loners is a tough sell, and though it could become a hit, it has a massive uphill battle in front of it. The main problem, ratings-wise, is that it has too much in common with all the shows that didn’t work for its stars in the past.

Of course, that’s only if you’re looking for ratings.

The shows in question, Zachary Knighton‘s Happy Endings, and Becki Newton‘s The Goodwin Games, were actually great shows, but Weird Loners has a tone, and general style of comedy, that is something of a cross between those shows, and that’s a ratings nightmare.

Worse, the pilot is somewhat nonsensical, having to put forward our establishing excuse that the four main characters get together. It has its moments, but it has to try so hard to force these people together, that it has little time to let them charm us.

Here’s some news that even the Men on Film would love: In Living Color‘s David Alan Grier has signed on to NBC’s upcoming comedy pilot Go Jerrod Go, our sister site Deadline reports.

Written by and starring comedian Jerrod Carmichael (The Goodwin Games), the multi-camera project follows a young couple — played by Carmichael and newcomer Amber West — who struggle to tell Jerrod’s parents that they are moving in together.

Grier will play Jerrod’s father, opposite Loretta Devine (Grey’s Anatomy) as his mother.

Fox's comedy pilot "Weird Loners" has one of the standout titles of this development season, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty strong as well.

Becki Newton has signed on to play one of the title characters in the pilot, which comes from writer Michael Weithorn (creator of "The King of Queens") and director Jake Kasdan ("New Girl," "Freaks and Geeks"). It's about four social misfits who form a bond with one another via living in the same townhouse in Queens.

Newton's character, Caryn, is a "high-strung" dental hygienist with a tendency to go all-in on relationships way too quickly. Her co-stars thus far are "Happy Endings" alum Zachary Knighton and Nate Torrence ("Hello Ladies," "Super Fun Night"); the fourth member of the core group has yet to be cast.

Becki Newton is set as the lead character in Fox’s six-episode, single-camera ensemble comedy series Weird Loners, written by Michael Weithorn and directed by Jake Kasdan for 20th TV. It tells the story of four relationship-phobic people, three of them played by Newton, Zachary Knighton and Nate Torrence, who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives and form an unlikely bond in a townhouse in Queens, NY. Jake Lacy has joined the cast of Todd Haynes's Carol.

The Office actor will star opposite Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara in the upcoming adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's novel The Price of Salt.

I'm Not There filmmaker Haynes will direct the 1950s-set project, which focuses on a young woman (Mara) in New York who finds herself obsessed with another woman (Blanchett) after meeting in a store.

Lacy will play Mara's character's boyfriend Richard in the film.

The Price of Salt was originally published back in 1952 under Highsmith's pseudonym. It was notorious at the time due to its lesbian storyline that moved away from stereotypical homosexual characters.

Jake Lacy recently starred in the comedy film Obvious Child, while he also featured in the pilot of Fox sitcom The Goodwin Games, before being replaced by Tj Miller.

Perhaps April 6 is circled on your calendar as the day Game of Thrones comes back. The network has ordered a presentation for a comedy created by and starring Jerrod Carmichael, a Los Angeles-based standup and performer. Scott Ellis has come on board to direct the project based on Carmichael’s life and comedy. Episode 2 of "Under the Dome" fell some from last week's premiere, but it held up pretty well and was far and away Monday's top show in both viewers and adults 18-49.

Also Monday, "American Ninja Warrior" was down from its premiere last year but posted decent numbers for NBC, growing in each half hour. "The Bachelorette" was down a little for ABC, but "Mistresses" rose slightly to finish second at 10 o'clock, edging the premiere of NBC's "Siberia."

Thanks to "Under the Dome," CBS led the total-viewer race with 7.1 million and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households. ABC (5.5 million, 3.9/6) came in second, beating out NBC's 4.35 million viewers and 2.6/4. Fox (1.6 million, 1.0/2) took fourth, and The CW (609,000, 0.4/1) finished last.

CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 1.8 rating. ABC's 1.6 edged NBC's 1.5 for second place. Fox posted a 0.6 and The CW a 0.2.

Soon, there will be more than 24 seconds of the Arrested Development song, “Getaway.” TV Guide reports that there’s an Arrested Development soundtrack that’s sending Gabriel Mann back to the studio (yes, that Gabriel Mann from Revenge, he’s the singing voice of Mark Cherry) to co-write and perform a full-length version of the song. CBS packed a lot of people "Under the Dome" Monday, as the premiere of the series based on Stephen King's novel opened to more viewers than any summer series since 2007.

It was big enough, to give CBS a win in viewers for the night, but the adults 18-49 honors go to NBC thanks to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, which saw the Chicago Blackhawks win the Cup. "The Bachelorette" also rose for ABC, hitting a season high in viewers and matching its best performance in the 18-49 demographic.

CBS drew 8.2 million viewers and a 5.2 rating/9 share in households in primetime. NBC (7.9 million, 4.6/7) finished a close second, pending updates for the live hockey telecast. ABC (5.3 million, 3.8/6) came in third. Fox was a fairly distant fourth with 1.7 million viewers and a 1.1/2. The CW (690,000, 0.4/1) trailed.

CBS’ Under the Dome was clearly a hit with its Monday night premiere, drawing 13.5 million total people (per Nielsen finals) to troubled li’l Chester’s Mill, Home of Rachelle Lefevre’s Hair.

In the coveted 18-49 demo, the Stephen Kingsian drama series scored a 3.3, likely placing second only to NBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup finals (which per preliminary numbers is starting off with a sure-to-grow 3.2, plus 8.3 million total viewers).

The final performances of "The Voice" this season gave NBC a ratings win Monday night, per usual. The show improved some on its numbers from a week ago, also helping a second preview of "The Winner Is" grow a little bit. ABC's lineup, however, went the other direction as both "The Bachelorette" and "Mistresses" were down from last week.

NBC drew 10.5 million viewers and a 6.4 rating/11 share in households in primetime, more than doubling the viewer total for second-place ABC (4.9 million, 3.4/6). CBS (4.1 million, 2.8/5) came in third. Fox took fourth with 1.5 million viewers and a 0.9/1. The CW (640,000, 0.4/1) trailed.

NBC's 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 was far and away the night's best. ABC (1.5) was the only other network to get above a 1.0 rating. CBS posted a 0.9, Fox a 0.6 and The CW a 0.2.

Last night’s performance finale of The Voice drew a 3.5/10 among adults 18-49 and 12.3 million viewers overall to secure another No. 1 Monday finish for NBC. Compared with last week’s fast national, the show rose 9% in 18-49 (6% from the final as the show is often adjusted up). But versus last season’s penultimate episode, The Voice was down 9%. The Voice also lifted its lead-out, new game show/singing competition The Winner Is (2.0/6), which was up a tenth from last week’s fast national (0.2 from the final, but it may be adjusted down again later today.) Things took a downturn at ABC, with The Bachelorette (1.6/5) off by a tenth from last week’s fast national (0.2 from the final) to a cycle low. After a nice double-digit second-week bump last Monday, new drama Mistresses (1.2/3) gave back the gains, down 14% to the levels of the premiere, which posted an encouraging rise in Live...

ABC’s The Bachelorette this Monday drew 5.4 million total viewers and a 1.6 rating, slipping 6 percent and two tenths (to a season-low demo).

Mistresses led out of that with 3.8 mil/1.2, down 10 percent and two tenths, tying its lowest rating to date.

It’s a good time to be Scott Foley, which is a rather pointless statement to make considering there’s never a bad time to be Scott Foley. The actor has been known to melt hearts with a simple glance from his captivating amber eyes – my heart included – and has no intent to stop now. All we can do now is prepare ourselves and hope he doesn’t spend too much time on our televisions lest we succumb to his tempting gaze. Unfortunately for watchers of Scandal, they’ll be getting nothing but more Foley as the show goes into its third season. It’s a blessing and a curse.
